Need Help naming the Planet Systems in the Background of the small ship expansion packs. Trying to make a quick X-wing campaign.

By Marinealver, in X-Wing

So after seeing the Iron Throne which is just a game of throne theme of cosmic encounters, I thought the set up is simple and could be used for an X-wing campaign. So the planet/systems would be the background paper in the small X-wing expansions. I have most of them named but I am having difficulty with the Scum planets.

Wave Rebels Imperials Scum

I Yavin-4 Death Star not released

II Dagobah Death Star II not released

III Nebulon-B Imperial SD not released

IV Hoth Corescuant? not released

V -no small ships-

VI -no releases- Nal Hutta?

VII Chandrilla? ?Froz? Tatoine or Nal Shudda?

VIII no small ship Lothal? Bespin?

IX Naboo Deep Space Mandalor or Concord Dawn?

X Mustafar? no small ship Jaku

Diz

TFA Remote Star Deep Space not released

R1 no small ship Proto. D. Star not released

So with the one ? mark I made a guess, the ?Unknown? I have no idea what the planet is in the background.

So the idea is that each background planet is a planet to fight over. However in the campaign each planet has a special effect such as Death Star able to destroy a system they won in or Nebulon-B allowing the Rebels to chose which system to attack instead of the defender. But first I need to get the list completed. Ideas to put tokens on the planet. (Such as Stress for Rebels Focus for Imperials and Shields for Scum). You use these tokens to pick which faction you are playing and use it to attack other systems on your other player. The beauty of this campaign concept is that it doesn't hold one player to a faction (unless they ran out of tokens for the other two). Each system will have a special effect depending on who controls it (Rebel Controlled Imperial Controlled Scum Controlled) The system will be moved in front of the player who controls it. The trick is to get it as simple as possible while giving a lot of flexibility and variety so that it can be played in as quick as one night or a weekend at the longest.

But first could I get help with the names?

Wave VIII:

- TIE Adv. Prototype: Lothal

- Mist Hunter: Bespin

Wave IX:

- Protectorate Starfighter: Mandalore

- ARC-170: Naboo? ...Not sure

Wave X

- Quadjumper: Jakku

- Sabine's TIE: Mustafar

Those are the ones I'm pretty sure of. Wave VIII just baffles me.

Wouldn't the Protectorate Starfighter have Concord Dawn in the background?

Ack! You caught me! I have just started watching season 2 of Rebels, so I haven't seen the episodes yet, and didn't put that together. Plus, I forgot that Concord Dawn and Mandalore were different. Woops!

Oh, and I think Wave IV Imperials are at Coruscant. That glowing circle pattern is pretty diagnostic, and Imdaar Alpha was a space station near an asteroid field, wasn't it?

It is probably Mandalore, especially considering from what we've seen Concord Dawn is purplish and is well missing a good chunk of itself from some Mando doing crazy Mando things long before the Rebels series takes place.

Thanks now need to figure out what Wave 7 is. The TIE Punisher looks like to have some sort of blaster planet surface. Woudl it have anything to do with Black Eight Squadron? As for The K-wing I have no idea.

Okay so Wave 10 is out. I am certain that the Quad Jumper is Jaku. I have no idea what planet the Stolen Tie is.

Anyways back to the campaign set up.

So thinking of something similar to cosmic encounters. Where you have squadrons on a set of planet/systems and each of those planets could do a certan thing depending on who controls. (Such as Imperials using the deathstar to destroy a planet.

Where Cosmic encounters has cards In X-wing we have dice. You can chose the attack dice (red) or diplomacy dice (green). Depending on what happens. You got blast (hit) epic blast (crit) that triggers abilities, intrigue (focus) and negotiation (evade). No matter the results there will be a battle but it could determine initiative.

epic blast has initiative over blast and blast has initiative over intrigue and blank. Negoiation can chose initiative over blast and epic blast.

Trying to work out something for the intrigue system. I have an idea that green intrigue takes initiative over red intrigue. Red die results takes iniative over green die results for everything else though.

Sabine's TIE is probably Mustafar, that's where it was prominently flown over in Rebels when it appeared. I'm also going to concur with VI as Nal Hutta - that looks a lot like the art used by FFG in their RPG series. Which is probably gonna have to be where you check for the remaining ships - there's a lot of places which could be the K-Wing and Punisher for instance.

EDIT: Okay, wasn't even that hard. K-Wing is Chandrila, ARC-170 appears to match Naboo. TIE Punisher matches the art for "Froz" from Suns of Fortune (a Corellian Sector sourcebook). Kihraxz looks like it matches Nar Shaddaa art.

So got the Arc for Naboo, K-wing is Chandrilla as a possibility. I don't know what planet "Froz" is. And now two possibilities for Kihraxz, Tatoine and Nar Shadda?

No, like, I'm literally telling you the art matches the images printed in FFG's RPG supplements. The image behind the K-Wing matches art used in a couple different books for Chandrila. The Kihraxz looks like it matches the Nar Shaddaa one (because they both have weird light hexes). I rapidly skimmed some more to find the match for the punisher which is clearly Froz

You can match image pretty good.
