R2F2, mechs spent with int astromech

If a mech is spent mid-round with the integrated astromech upgrade, are the mech's effects still ongoing? I hit an x wing with R2F2 with his agility effect activated on Biggs, which he then discarded with his int mech card, so we weren't sure if the effect still lasted until the end of the round. Thanks

Anything that specifies a timed period, as in "until the end of this game round" will stay in effect for that period. Then the discarded card is no longer available.

It is an action, most action stuff even if you loose the action will still aply. Loosing Focus action from your action bar does not make you loose focus token you have on your ship...

You could widen your question to include any upgrade that activates an effect as Boba Fett could come along and take the upgrade away.

Things that grant static effects (say Hull Upgrade) would go away immediately while things that grant tokens or that last for a duration would stay active. Removing a Shield Upgrade shouldn't take a shield token with it and removing R2F2 wouldn't end it's effect early.

Yes it would. It may be odd having more shield tokens than normally allowed but I don't see a lot of situations where you'd get the opportunity to remove the Shield Upgrade without first having the shield tokens gone.

I've seen that situation. While it is actually pretty potent it has its limitation and is still relatively uncommon. It's other situations that I'm currently having a harder time seeing where something could cause discarding upgrades while having shield tokens. I guess the topic header of IA discarding the Astromech should that AHM want to cause trouble under the shield but I still think it's rare.

Doesn't need to be Kath. Any Scum ship with Missile and Crew can pull this off. Albeit that is only the Firespray and YV right now.
