Idea: Yoda Crew

By DirbYh, in X-Wing

Once per round, when your opponent modifies a die result, you may reroll that die. That die result cannot be remodified or rerolled this round.

Not a hard counter to the Emperor, but a useful counter that is flyable in all situations.

No idea how to cost it.

Eh, I dunno... it feels very "I want one, too!"

Eh ... you may convert green [blank] results to [evade] results (or some variation thereof).

A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack ...

To run off of Hawkstrike's idea of a Jedi using the Force for knowledge and defense.

Once per round, after all dials are set, you make look at one of your opponents dials and change your dial to any green maneuver.

It'd need to be expensive. But this may be somewhat OP...

Yeah, I wouldn't let you change another player's dial, too powerful.

But other options:

(1) At start of activation, discard Yoda to look at *all* of your opponent's dials (maybe then change your own!)

(2) Once per round: Look at an opponent's dial (Intel agent, no range restriction) *or* change blanks to evades (both knowledge and defense).

Your Yoda crew misses a lightsaber and the ability to jump around really fast.

Which is a way of saying "please, no Yoda crew".

Yoda

Crew

Rebel Only

Any friendly ships at R1-3 must reroll any Focus results.

"No. Try Not. Do, or do not, there is no try."

I wasn't suggesting to change the other player's dial; it was to change your own dial on the Yoda equipped ship after looking at the opponent's dial. BoShek, coming in the Quadjumper already has the ability to change another ship's dial, for just 2 points!

Once per round Yoda may add one "eyeball/focus" result. To one friendly ships dice result.

CONCENTRAAAAAAATE....

Derp.

Yep, changing your own dial is a good idea. Cassian's got that, but you have to guess -- Yoda could be more powerful.

Once per round you may spend a focus token to change 1 die result to what ever you want.

8 points <crew> (single not 2x)

But not before we get a B-wing prototype with a unique b-wing prototype <cannon> one-time use secondary weapon that can tear through large based ships.

That way it can act like a palp/yoda assassin.

Emperor Palpatine

Imp.

Once per round, you may change any friendly ships RED die to any other result.

(crew) (crew) 5 pts?

Yoda

Rebel.

Once per round, you may change any friendly ships GREEN die to any other result.

(crew) (crew) 5 pts?

I think this might work.

Sorry but Palp is not getting retconned.

I was thinking of making Yoda turn all green blanks to focus but that might end up too much. So a single crew palpy but requires focus to work might be the best. If we want we could restrict it to when a friendly ship is defending but then we might need to knock it down to 6 or 7 points instead of 8.

Or maybe two.

Or just:

At the start of the combat phase, you may assign focus tokens to up to 3 friendly ships.

In hiding he is. Flying around the galaxy he is not.

So a unique rebel X-Wing pilot is removed from the playing area for Jedi training on Dagobah. Alternately, R2-D2 disappears with Yoda on a spiritual journey.

I seriously don't think he'll show up unless they do the Clone Wars era.

Yoda crew just makes no sense, he doesnt leave degobah during galactic civil war. I know in this game you can fly vader with kylo ren, but you dont have to, you can make legit squads for each of them. With yoda any time he would appear, it would make no sense. Emperor in his shuttle makes sense, as we can say he is under attack and he needs to do everything possible in order to survive.

Obi wan crew makes sense though and i'm really expecting it to happen. He should had been part of OT Millenium Falcon expansion pack though.

They do have a point :P
