Need help with Old Republic short campaign!

Hi there,

I am planning a short campaign during the time of SWTOR, but I am stuck at this early planning phase.

My ideas so far:

  • The group is not just a bunch of adventurers/freedom fighter/etc. They have jobs and work together for a common goal. (starting at Knight-Level)
  • The start scenario is the Sacking of Coruscant .
  • The whole campaign has only 5 sessions and has an overarching plot over all sessions.
  • I was toying around with the "save a VIP" plot but I am not sure for now.

Unfortunately thats all I got right now. Do you have any ideas to flesh it out?

How about rescue a member of the Alderaanian Royal Family from an attempted kidnapping?

Picture them as a evil Leia except her Uncle who wants to inherit his nieces wealth is in cahoots with a minor Sith seeking the means to establish a beachhead on Alderaanian using the uncle to hide his invasion in preparation for the main invasion seen in one of the cinematic trailers.

Evil Leia learns an important lesson with your PCs having the dubious honour of saving her life and being assigned the task as her escort back to Alderaanian unaware her ship has been infiltrated by Sith and Mandalorians and your PCs are the only people standing in their way!

I'm thinking they discover the duplicity have to fight their way back k to their ship hopefully with their charge and having to reach Alderaanian first to warn them...

Then maybe shot down as the invasion starts, the uncle tries to frame Evil Leia who is now a potent means of uniting the people as communications are sabotaged.

Are any of your player's running a Force User?

Do they fancy being the Jedi who confronts the Sithlord namely the nemesis?

Session 2: Regroup

Session 3: Expand

Session 4: D-Day

Session 5: Victory

Overarching plot: take back the Jedi temple.

Evil Leia could be Lady Elana Thul and this happens before the House of Thul pledges openly alliance with the Sith Empire. The PCs are just clueless about the collusive behavior between the House and the Empire.

My players haven't stated what they want to play as PCs, but even a Jedi could work because of the clueless PCs. The Sith Lord Nemesis could be the archenemy of the Jedi PC...

2 of 5 Players have made their PCs. A Drall Guardian/Soresu Defender (Jedi bodyguard for time the noble spends on Coruscant) and a Gank Hired Gun/Marauder and Enforcer (her personal trusted bodyguard).
