Cut the cards, fold and sleeve in standard card sleeves.

This is my second homebrew scenario. Find my first here .

just... kinda wondering. very cool scenario, but the name makes no sense.. Amulotep?

If anything it should be, Amulhotep.

Made-up name is made-up, but I'll bite out of interest. Why would Amulhotep make sense and Amulotep not?

Why is it not possible for Amulotep to in fact be a corruption of Amulhotep?

When I wrote this, I just spent some time scrolling up and down https://www.wikiwand.com/en/List_of_ancient_Egyptians and then made something up. #research #notveryprofessional

in Ancient Egypt, names were typically two or three parts which were combinations of words. in the High Caste society, it was on the more common side for nobles to have the moniker "hotep" at the end which essential meant they live in Ma'at, the universal order of living to ensure a peaceful life and afterlife. the word "Amul" has no real meaning in Egyptian, but is a homonym of the word " 'amoul" which is a cookie.

the name basically means, "peaceful cookie".

:( languages are silly! haha. still i think the name sounds cool, and i like this set, especially the weakness cards! great work.

Cool! Thanks man, very interesting.

Now I wish I'd put that "h" in! Next time.....

well, all that being said, Nyarlathotep doesn't really make sense either, and neither does Abdul Alhazred, as neither of these names would be used in Egypt... the more we learn the less things make sense ^_^

This looks extremely cool. I'll be playing it with a friend this weekend.

Crikey,

Thank you for this scenario! There is a lot to like about it. Have you (or anybody else reading this thread) ever won it? I played it once (actually ended up forfeiting). Possibly everything that could go completely south did that. I'll try it again to see if this was an aberration. I'm relatively new to the game and basically went with default decks (for Skids and Daisy) that were suggested in the Learn to Play manual.

What a difference getting good cards at the right time can make! I actually won! And came away with 11 Victory points! I do have a couple of questions. I'll try sending a private message so as to avoid spoilers for those who haven't played this yet.

Thanks both!

It's maybe not immediately clear: the two custom monster cards are actually two sides of the same card. Fold them into a single card sleeve so you can flip between the two sides during play.

Played through The Essex Country Express and fancy more fun with trains....?
