It seems most of the ordnance still underperforms. There are many suggestions on the site, that they are overpriced, have limited range, need target lock etc. But the problem also is you don't want the ordnance to be too powerfull so we don't see only ordnance base ships all the time.
What i came about is an idea that you prepare your ordnance weapons acordingly to what you are against at. Similarly to the new cards like adaptability.
What would happen if in a tournament environment you could swap missiles and torpedoes in your squad at the start of every game? With the restriction that you cannot exceed max points for the game, and if you have something equiped in an ordnance slot it need to stay equiped (by anything, so you can't just leave it empty).
Would that fix the problem with ordnance? Ordnance seems very situational right now and it does have high point cost for what it does. What if with equiping ordnance you would also get the flexibility to adjust the missiles and torpedoes you use? So the high cost would be even justifiable because of that flexibility.
Also it's very easy to implement in the game, just add it to tournament rules, done.
What do you think about it?
