Huge ships attacking rules

By Darthvy, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi,

Yesterday I was playing an epic game with my raider vs a CR90. I have 2 questions about epic rules.

- Can you attack with your secondary weapons first and then with your primary weapon? . I wanted to attack a targeted 1 hull left ship with my ion cannon and then use the impetuous title to acquire a TL to the ship I was going to attack with the primary weapon, but my opponent claimed I had to use my primary attack first. Is that specified anywhere in the rules?

- When determining if a huge ship attack is obstructed by an asteoid or not, you should measure from the center of the ship (as when seeing if one section obstructs the attack) or from the closest point (or the arc)?

Thank you!

1) Concerning attacks, the rules say:

"During the Combat phase, each huge ship may perform one attack with its
primary weapon and may perform one attack with each of its secondary
weapons. Each attack must be fully resolved before it begins another."
There is no mention that attacks must be performed in a specific order.
2) Closest point (or arc). The rule about measuring from the center of the ship is to determine if it is an elligeable target. You do not measure range or obstruction with it.
