Whippoorwill & Haunted Text Differences

By iGniGhted, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

(Minor Spoilers)

Haunted states :

"You get -1 to each of your skills."

Whipporwill states :

"Each investigator at Whippoorwill's location gets -1 Will , -1 Intellect, -1 Combat, and -1 Agility."

probably not deserving of a thread, but just out of curiosity, anyone know why there would be a difference in the text of these two cards?

i'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to everything being cohesively written. is there going to eventually be an additional skill?

Not sure. My guess would be to eliminate the weird wording involved since the first example affects "you" (a singular investigator with a definition in the rules reference) and the second example affects all investigators at a location.

To re-write the 2nd example, would it be worded "Each investigator at Whippoorwill's location gets -1 to each of (his/her/their) skills." ???

It's not really even a huge issue but possibly it's just a matter of singular vs plural pronouns. I might be entirely wrong, but it's the only thing I can think of.

I can't see a brand new skill being added just because older investigators would become irrelevant at that point.
