We social engineered the location of the back up out of the law office that was holding the will (charm), messed up the AC at the remote site (coordination and mechanics) so they would have to call the repairmen (con) allowing us access to the infrastructure of the building so half the team could distract the security watching us so the other half could get the will (sneak and computers). And then the mechanic (who shall go nameless, but it was absolutely not me. Not in the slightest) accidentally set the building on fire when repairing the sabotage we had done, so some athletics was in order as we ran the hell away.

To expand on what was said above, a digital forgery would include forging the digital signatures of the authorities in question, which would likely be extremely difficult if you don’t have their code key that they keep in the breast pocket of their shirt. Such digital signatures might also require forging biometric data regarding the person, like their fingerprint or their retina scan.

Then those documents might be timestamped and countersigned by a classified Empire-controlled cryptographic system. And the cryptographic hash of that document might be stored in a secure off-site facility.

So all that to say "it's a Computers check" then?

No, that could still be a skullduggery roll as that could just be various programs in a datapad applying the right information to the right places in the document.

Honestly that could be everything from a single check, through an encounter, adventure or even right up to an entire campaign. If there is a character interested in this sort of thing then a single roll seems underwhelming, it should at least be an encounter or focus of a nights adventuring.

Start with the knowledge drop, the hook, "we need this document". That leads into some sort of streetwise, knowledge or computers check to find where the tools, examples and even inside knowledge can be found. Perhaps an ex-employee with a chip on their shoulder (Charm). Some special software that needs to be socially engendered out of the right person(Deception). Then Brads code cylinder in the chest pocket of an Imperial officer who lives in an apartment downtown, break and enter time (skullduggery).

Then the twist, recently a new security layer was implemented, Brads cryptographic system, so now a proxy needs setting up to trick the Empires system into authorising the fake(computers).

Then it's time for the actual forgery. Computers to get it done, Perception to check over it. And finally use the document, the Deception at the end to get the final mcguffin

Actually, it's a blaster.

I'd go with a mix of computers and skulduggery, depending exactly on what they are forging and how reliable they want to to be when it gets checked. To get someone to do it for them I'd use streetwise or Knowledge: Underworld (plus credits).
