I am trying to get the sinergy between sj and hotshot. Please, explain it to me

When defending, SJ let's you change one of the attackers hit dice to an eye which they they can't change back if Hotshot has robbed them of their focus token. SJ also prevents them from re-rolling that die.

So I'll just kill Ten in the second round of combat instead of the first?

EDIT: Wait, I'll just kill Keyan in the first round instead. A B-wing is a B-wing, right?

I think that it might work on a more durable ship.

So, if you had VI Cassian, with HoCo, Baze, and Sensor Jammers, that'd work. On the already overpriced B-Wing? Maybe not.

If you want to keep the B-Wings, how about this discount Keyan?

I'll admit I'm still pretty new to the game, so I don't get why b wings are so fragile. They have 1 agility and 8 total hull and shield just like a u wing. Help a noob out please?

B-Wings suffer from being slightly over costed with only 1 agility to hide behind.

U-wings are about the right cost for what you get, with the title that bumps their agility to 2, or can let them make a 0K. So, in general at least, you're going to have 1 more agility to hide behind, and you're not going to be spending as much on the ship.

The other issue with B-Wings is that they tend to get focus fired, and after they spend their focus token on their own attack, or their first defense, they only have a 3/8 chance of dodging one hit from each attack against them. Even saving their focus tokens for defense is relatively inefficient, as the focus token can, at most (without range bonuses or obstructions) negate one damage.

Just played against a classic hlc Keyan tonight. One shot poor Duchess. I mean I caused him and han solo to suffer critical existence failure and won with only back draft left on the table.. But I still had to play around his super consistent 4 dice at all ranges attacks. I think with just a little push in the right direction b- wings could be back with a vengeance.
