While going over the different classes and careers in the core book i came upon something that wasn't very clear. So i thought i would come to the forums to see if this has come up for anybody else before.

Saber Swarm says it adds linked X to the next lightsaber [Agility] check equal to force rating. Ataru Form makes all Lightsaber checks into Lightsaber [Agility] checks. Does that mean when an Ataru Striker uses Saber Throw they can use Saber Swarm to give it the linked X quality? Even though Saber Throw does not specify it is a Lightsaber [Agility] check the same way Hawk Bat Swoop does.

Lets check:

Do you roll Brawn, Intelligence, Willpower, Cunning or Presence when throwing it?

Or do you roll Agility?

You make a lightsaber combat check. So if you have the Ataru form Talent it would be agility.

Yes, Ataru can add Linked X to their Saber Throws.

Example if you have the talents for ataru sand soresu style you have the CHOICE of use agility or intellect for your lightsaber checks instead of brawn, a minor difference but important nonetheless. As it means you cannot use some soresu techniques unless you are using lightsaber (int) it is the same with all the lightsaber style talent trees.
