Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points)
- Yavaris ( 5 points)
- Flight Commander ( 3 points)
- Fighter Coordination Team ( 3 points)
= 68 total ship cost

Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 points)
- Salvation ( 7 points)
= 58 total ship cost

Modified Pelta-class Command Ship (60 points)
- All Fighters, Follow Me! ( 5 points)
= 65 total ship cost

CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)
= 51 total ship cost

[ flagship ] GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points)
- Commander Sato ( 32 points)
- Bright Hope ( 2 points)
- Bomber Command Center ( 8 points)
= 60 total ship cost

1 Ten Numb ( 19 points)
3 B-Wing Squadrons ( 42 points)
1 Jan Ors ( 19 points)
1 Shara Bey ( 17 points)

The goal is to have Shara Bey go in head first to stop the fighter screen from bothering the B-Wings. If they do, Ten Numb Double tap with Yavaris should be enough to make most opposition regret their decision. My main concern with the list is the lack of Boosted comms and the fact that I want to stay at red range as long as possible.

Thoughts???

Sato and TRCs don't really jive. And neither does AFFM and Yavaaris.

Sato works really well with black crits, and Raymus/Ahsoka work great together (on different ships) to help make the fleet command upgrade trigger every round after the first. So I'd downgrade to a Pelta Assault and use APTs. With Raymus, you could CF every round and convert the CF token into a squad token with Ahsoka on the nearby flotilla.

And while Sharas counter-3 is amazing, Tycho is great for not getting tied up. It's user preference.

But really, the list and the commander don't jive as well as it would if you were to use ships that could modify black dice at long range. Granted, this list appears to be a jousting list, and would work very well with the Bs, but you aren't getting the best value out of the commander.

Just my thoughts from using Sato. You really want to be able to modify those black dice, otherwise they are just as fickle as reds at long range. And the Bs will be able to stop something, just not everything. Even with Yavaaris double taps.

Agreed, I like to max on ships with Sato'ship, using a light Fighter screen of A's, X's or YT2400.

I worry about Neb's and CR90's if you ever get put up against someone running 3 Deci's and intel. They can one shot a Neb quite easily.

wow thx for the feedback, back to the drawing board!

Yes, decimators are stupid good. Though nebs still have their braces, so 3 of those wouldn't be able to do it, unless all 3 got all hits on a total of 9 blue dice. I really need to start accounting for those in my builds. They're such good flotilla hunters. Seriously, 2 of those are the bane of bright hope. And Bossk. Injured Bossk and a decimator.

for modifying the black dice, what do you suggest, ships that can take leading shots?? DTT?

Fleet created with Armada Warlords

edit: Just removed Tantive 4 and added DTT on the MC80

yeah I know. No intel on the 2nd list, but I think going speed 4 will make the squadrons slippery enough to reach the ships on turn 2.

Ordnance Experts on the assault frigate would probably work better than veteran gunners if you are going for that black dice stuff. DTLTs on it work very well for red dice, too.

That second one looks really good. Like ridiculously. And then Caldias has solid advice for the first list as well, though I'd also add to switch the flechette torpedoes with Assault proton torpedoes. And with the points from Caldias's suggestions, replacing Ahsoka with Raymus and moving Ahsoka to the Tantive, while getting rid of that title entirely.

Raymus and Ahsoka have a ridiculous interaction; Ahsoka can affect any ship in a distance 5 radius, so she doesn't have to be on Raymus' ship. With Raymus, you take a token without spending the command. Then you use Ahsoka to change that token. Then you can take the same token again, or use the command.

Ideally, you could concentrate fire every round, and use Raymus/Ahsoka to have that Nav token to trigger Entrapment Formation every round. And you can get 2 tokens on the first round instead of just 1.

So when you're shooting an enemy ship with sato's ability from your front arc, you change the 2 reds for 2 blacks, can concentrate fire for a third black (with increased probability of Assault Proton Torpedoes), and you can change your speed with entrapment formation. Then you can do the same exact thing the next round, and the round after that, and so on until you explode.

Don't get me wrong Neb's - specifically Salvation and Yavaris are both still great but with Deci's being the new toys and you will see a lot of 2 ofs maybe more it is a struggle for small base ships without a redirect at the moment or without a large amount of anti squadron cover.

Think about a couple of assault frigates with OE, they are nasty sauce with Sato, up to 3 rerolling blacks and a red that can be modified with a turbo laser upgrade is not to be sniffed at.
