So does anyone have a solution for FFG's laziness in not providing sculpted lines on the insides of the wing panels? I tried masking it with trimmed tape but I need a third hand to apply it (hold the model, hold the knife its's stuck to in order to maneuver into position, stick the tape to the model). The amount of time involved with lining each panel effectively double's each units painting time. Before I do it how I view as the hard way, I thought I'd see if anyone has come up with a quality of life hack for this process.
I thought I'd be able to tolerate not having lines at table top ranges but those blank black panels are all I can see when I look at the squad.

Bleh, doubled post.
Edited by SygnetixA cheap 50c brush that has long (like, 3/4s of an inch) bristles, in about a 1 size.
Taper it right to a point - you're basically able to "dab and flick" the brush sideways onto the model and get a (fairly) straight and thin line.
I'm desperate enough to try it. Using a 2/0 detail to paint slightly thicker lines, then going back and trimming it in with black. So, so time consuming.

Thats what I do/
After 50 squadrons, you get used to it,
I just refuse to bother with the inner line, you really won't miss them.
The brush you describe dras is called a 'rigger' I believe.
Edited by DarthainI don't bother with the inner line either. Too time consuming and hardly noticeable, especially when you have three to a tree.
I've elected to just paint everything but the outside lines and come back to them as I have time. I'd rather move on to getting my capital ships a uniform color.
