Trying something new

By LordTesla, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hey everybody. Looking for some advice fine tuning this list. I want to try to playing to my objectives quite heavily instead of throwing all my points at a Demolisher or a Rhymer ball. Thus I do not want comments like "take a Rhymer ball instead of all that" because that defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do with this list, it's a casual list not a competitive one.

My over all plan is to spam Squadron commands on the VSDs to manipulate objective tokens on the board, all the other fighters are just cover for the Lambdas.

For Close Range Intel Scan Jonus is obviously just going to stick by the biggest ship and hopefully let me score 30 points per round.

Jamming Barrier I wanted to try using the Lambdas to push the barrier ahead of my VSDs until I'm in close range and use dust fields to cover my flanks. Meanwhile my Arquitens can harass the enemy flank.

With Sensor Net I was going use Lambdas to fetch tokens for my ships to score with.

That's my overall game plan. I think a 5 point bid will be enough to ensure second player because anyone bidding lower probably wants to go first anyway.

Play to my objectives

Assault Objective: Close-Range Intel Scan

Defense Objective: Jamming Barrier

Navigation Objective: Sensor Net

Victory I-Class Star Destroyer (73 points)

- Tactical Expert ( 6 points)

[ flagship ] Victory I-Class Star Destroyer (73 points)

- Moff Jerjerrod ( 23 points)

- Tactical Expert ( 6 points)

- Spinal Armament ( 9 points)

= 111 total ship cost

Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points)

- Skilled First Officer ( 1 points)

- Dual Turbolaser Turrets ( 5 points)

= 60 total ship cost

2 Lamda-class Shuttles ( 30 points)

1 TIE Advanced Squadron (12 points)

1 Captain Jonus ( 16 points)

1 Tempest Squadron ( 13 points)

1 Black Squadron ( 9 points)

2 JumpMaster 5000s ( 24 points)

4 TIE Fighter Squadrons (32 points)

If not using gunnery teams DTTs are nearly as good (better if shooting out the flank) as spinals.

Swap out tactical officers for a set of flight controllers and expanded hangar and then maybe Centigore on the Arquitens.

You still have loads more squadrons than you can activate so swapping Tie Fighters for interceptors or characters, Tie-A for Vader etc. could be fun.

Thanks the advice. Was definitely looking at DTT for the Vics.
