I like to repaint all my X-Wing ships and consider Rebel ones to be better suited for some custom paint jobs. So when I got my VCX and tried Sabine Wren in Attack Shuttle (squishy, but a lot of fun), I decided to make it more "Sabine-like" as a form of reward to the ship. So I painted the Phantom by using any color available and any pattern I could imagine

After learning basics with airbrush, I moved on the Ghost and tried to find an answer to question "What it would look like if Hera took a week off and told Sabine to take care of the Ghost?" My estimation of the answer is below

Large "wing" and hull areas of the Ghost are undercoated by airbrush, as is the large chessboard behind the cockpit and PRU blue lines on one side. The rest is result of freehand painting and a lot of swearing.

Work on Ghost took roughly 26 hours in total over four days. Shuttle took around 6 hours.
