And concussion rifles woot

I love concussion rifles SOOOO much. On the Jedi Knight II map of the Cloud City Gantry, a friend and I would run around with those and frustrate the hell out of the other players (Oh, and we killed each other plenty of times too). Catch the other player on a ledge and WA-WHOOOM hit 'em with a AOE, knocking them off. Spawn, Wawhoom, spawn, WaWaoom, spawn, WaWaoom. Mind you, this wasn't spawn point camping - it was just such a small map that you could hit anywhere from anywhere if you were good enough.

We never got the point for killing them this way, but the epic amount of rage that we were able to farm was entertaining beyond words.

You! It was YOU!!!

Might have been me and my buddy too. Though most of the time force speed and force jump at max and a lightsaber strike was prefered. And MotS brought iirc force push to throw people down the chasm in style. ^_^

Excitement!

This book promises a lot of goodness! Good goodness.

And we now have a product page, too! Nothing new, but that's because we already have everything we would be wanting to know at this stage :) .

Product page, woo! :D

The product page mentions rules on broken lightsaber crystals, which is a new piece of information. Wonder what that's gonna be like.

Maybe it will explain things like Kylo Ren's unstable lightsabre?

Or the consequence of sundering a PC's lightsaber? Make it salvageable, and provide a story about it through these mechanics?

That'd be a fair guess.

I always though he just uses a barab ingot.

The rules explicitly state that a Lightsaber cannot be Sundered.

The only way to break one without GM-Fu is spending 2 Triumphs on a successful combat check against a person using one. At that point, it's the GM's choice as to whether the crystal survives or not.

Interesting thought: if Arbiter is the specialization with the conflict talent, that would make it the fourth consecutive conflict specialization that has a name to do with some form of law enforcement: Warden, Executioner, Sentry, and Arbiter.

I still hope it's Ascetic, but, it's a trend.

Gotta make some tough choices when enforcing the law!

I'm pretty sure they should rename Arbiter to Inquisitor.

Arbiter sounds better and also isn't an enemy type in this game.

It definitely sounds like the Inquisitors spec, perhaps that will be the Conflict talent. "Inquisitors Judgment: make an Average Coercion check to force the target to confess to you"

Arbiter only sounds better if you are a Jedish person.

Inquisitor is a type of adversary in the system. They can't reuse the name or it would lead to endless confusion.

I'm sorry so what your saying is Bounty Hunter should be renamed, because its an adversary and might lead to endless confusion?

What he means is there are special inquisitor rules for an inquisitor adversary..

to clarify the name of the adversary type for which there are special rules is "inquisitor"

Bounty Hunter is an extremely large tag to identify anyone in the Star Wars universe. It can be used with Boba or Bossk or IG-88 and any PC BH. The Inquisitor title however had only been used by the Imperial force users tasked to take out Jedi left behind by Vader when he's busy.

So why would a Spec named Inquisitor lead to confusion?

I mean obviously having a Career named Bounty Hunter would lead to the same confusion.

Or are you just insulting every player of the game by claiming they can't tell the difference between a player character spec and a nemesis?

Armour you wear and the Armour of a ship are a good example of the devs using whatever fits best. Everyone understands the difference with half a sentence. But I think the reason they wouldn't create a spec called "Inquisitor" is because they go out of their way to avoid names directly tied to Jedi/Sith or Rebellion/Empire. Everything is kept as generic as possible.

Because you'll never have to explain to a bounty Hunter that "Your a Bounty Hunter but not a 'Bounty Hunter'." As would be the case with Inquisitor it is minor but avoiding all confusion when possible makes things flow easier.

It may be the case that despite what we may think the Arbiter actually has nothing to do with what one typically associates with Inquisting.
