Indirect damage

By echtalion, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

As 'indirect damage' is becoming more prominent, given that there are a number of cards in 'The path of the Zealot' BP that uses this keyword, I thought I could enquiry as to what exactly constitutes indirect damage, and who assigns it. (Yeah, I know this has been asked before lengua.gif ).

Hello,

Indirect damage is applied by the player who is receiving it, and it may be applied to any capital zone or unit.

Thus, if "Followers of Mork" is played, then the Orc player assigns 2 damage to any of his units or capital zones (they may be split up or both assigned to the same unit or zone) - and then his opponent(s) also assign 2 damage to their own units or zones.

Can indirect damage be assigned to a burning zone and can all indirect damage from one source be assigned to a single unit, even if that would be overkill?

You cannot assign damage to a burning zone.

I think it is an interesting question as to whether or not you can assign 2 damage to a target with only 1 hit point. In combat, your opponent can assign more damage to the unit than it has hit points, so I don't see why not.

I sincerely doubt that these actions would be possible, since they would be lame. But I dont know the official ruling... and I no longer remember the prior rulings and definitions of indirect damage
