The Heroes is probably just a restock/reprint. I doubt it is anything new.

If it were a "Trojan Horse" it would be the C-ROC but I doubt it. The only time FFG did any surprise launches like that was for the Force Awakens core set. I'd expect at least 2 spoiler articles before the Scum Epic is comming out. One about the new Scyk Pilots and then one about the rest of the C-ROC such as dial and Jabba the Hutt <crew>.

If FFG wanted to keep a product hidden, couldn't they just... not put it on their website? Why would they need to pull any kind of "Trojan Horse" shenanigans at all?

Anyway, at this point, the logical thing for FFG to do for scum aces would be Kihraxz and Starviper. Those seem the be the scum ships most in need of help. Maybe the G1-A as a dark horse, but it's still so relatively new that seems unlikely.

Ageed on the Kihraxz and Star Viper. The Scyk has been addressed (tor better or worse), those two make the most sense.

In an attempt to help as many Scum ships as possible. I'd prefer something like a "Shadows of Xizor" campaign pack packaged with 1 repainted ship (StarViper would made sense) instead of a two-ship aces/veterans pack. It would include a campaign map and booklet of missions, and lots of cards and cardboard components to add new pilots for Scum HWKs, Firesprays, Kihraxzes, StarVipers (a PS 8-9 Xizor would be a good start), Headhunters, Scum GR75 Medium Transports and CR90 Corvettes.

Aces is just the term for any release that's not part of a wave. Don't worry.

G1a won't get anything because;

- It is already a thing of beauty, perfect in every way

- It has so many upgrade slots that it can be improved just by accessing more and more options.

Aces packs work better to fix ships which are limited by design and cannot adapt to new conditions.

Mis-interpretation of the "X-Wing Aces" grouping/category on my part. Though it was referring specifically to an Aces pack for the X-Wing ship instead of being a grouping for all non-wave based fix/diversification packs for existing ships.
