[Scum] Asajj & Kath

Could this list work? Fire first with Asajj to hopefully add a tractor beam token and then aux-fire with Kath and they should have 3 less agility dice.

Maybe gyroscopic targeting would be better on Asajj.

Looks like fun! I flew a similar list recently, but I used Expertise/Dengar/Engine on Kath. I find that having full modifiers on Kath's attack is usually better than an agility reduction, especially if Ketsu has already dropped it by 2. You then have the points to make Ketsu a little beefier with Glitterstim + Fearlessness or something.

Still, Conner nets on Kath would be ridiculous fun. Nice list.

You dont need ALL that -agi stuff. Going against RAC,VCX, YV, etc, all those points are wasted, and after you boost you have no dice mods. Nothing worse than attacking a VCX and doing 1 or 0 damage with three eyeballs staring back at ya.

As my brother was testing something similar, we found Kath is not the best answer as a wingmate. He flew Ketsu/Bossk and liked it, but Bossk fizzles later rounds as opponents get behind him or he drops fast, then he switch to Ketsu/Kath. Tried a Kath build with homing missiles + K4 and it was a nasty nasty alpha strike, then the list fizzled out as Kath had no modifiers for attacks and Ketsu isnt all that great outside range 1. He tried Kath with HLC Tailgunner and Engines and again, the mods came up short and naked dice are frustrating. And when firesprays turn a corner, they have a weak spot and are killed there or out of the fight. Engines help, but still a big blind spot. We played about 5 matches and concluded Kath is a no-go. Just too many negatives, and ultimately resorted back to Bossk.

I like what you are doing with Conners, but you can do it cheaper with Rigged Cargo. My favorite Kath Build right now is Expertise/Dengar/Engines/Rigged Cargo. She can drop the cargo and stress an ace in her butt stopping them dead and she gets a full modded attack. Been using this in a couple games so far and its brutal, as Kaths actions are either to boost or evade, thats it. Her offense is spoken for. That one evade every round really adds up.

I'm a pretty mediocre player but it's worked better than anything else for me. It has some fat to trim if you don't like to have all the tricks up your sleeves, and I've not tried some of the newer cards with it, but its served me well.

But yes, Kath dies pretty quick so it's probably not so great as a tournament list.

About a week ago I played a game (only one though as I'm practicing regionals list so don't have a huge opperunity to mess around with interesting ones at the moment) along the lines of:

It was actually quite fun and worked reasonably well. Mindlink was quite nice as neither ship is going to do red manuevers with any frequency, but both tend to make a lot of greens anyway. Both being ps7 gives you movement options and you have decent action economy on both (Kath normally has a TL and Ketsu has Dengar re-rolls plus a focus and one gets a further action).

If Ketsu can pull off his tractor beam tricks it can set up Kath nicely for a concussion missile shot. Obviously, it has some weaknesses - the firesprays firing arcs generally and a wasted ept once one of them has been dropped - but its definitely a fun list to play and I will probably put some more time into it after the regionals season.
