A new take on U-boats.
Hmm....
In theory, you've got focus/target locked plasma torpedoes with guidance chips - pretty much the same punch they always had.
The problem is that even with adaptability, PS4 means you've got the classic low-PS-ordnance-carrier problem of either:
- Move slowly - not in range to target lock - opponent moves into range and locks you
or
- Move quickly - target lock - opponent moves into range 1 and you can't fire torpedoes
In theory, the third jumpmaster with anti-pursuit lasers can act as a blocker to prevent that, but it's not all that easy. I might recommend seeing if you can find the point for an intelligence agent in the crew slot.
I wonder if that 32pt bumpmaster became a standard build Fenn Rau, would the list have a bit more threat?

I always thought in the run up to wave 9 being released and before the change to Deadeye, that the old triple scout list would eventually become 2 plus Fenn.
Hope it works out well for you.
Your opponents might be wary of repositioning into range 1 of your scouts if Fenn is nearby and able to put himself into range 1 of them for potentially a 6 hit attack.
Fearlessness is meh.
I've run this list actually, but slightly different. Push the Limit on Fenn for starters (much better) and no extra munitions on the scouts. Its not like you get the 2nd torpedo off all that often anyway, and with K4 droid, the 2 attack primary is not terrible, particularly at range 1.

I was thinking about this recently.
Wouldn't you want K4 on at least one of the Scouts, so they can occasionally set up their own shots, though?

I will play a bit different boat list on Monday at a local league to bring something kinda surprising back to the table , its out of the meta in my area .
So i tested a few games with boats + rau or with old teroch and so far i can tell without mindlink the protectorate fighter is NOT THAT GOOD .
As mentioned i play the boats tomorrow in the following setup but i am not sure which torpedo's i should take with .

I tested against a Doni + Poe list so i know how hard it can be to get shots on a repositioning monster but lists which need a direct attack vector to shoot i should be fine.
I rather prefer the Protons over the Plasma's for the mid and late game because in situations without modification Protons seems more efficient .
Glitterstim to ensure that even if i have to turn to the right for the first strike i can have the full potential of modification .
I could kick out the vector thrusters and take another Protons with for all in all 99. p
One point wasted ?
