Show me your army colors!

I know what I'm using for the humans,

I'll probably replace the red with white. White will be fabrics, Green will be large armor areas, Orange will be accents. The light orange is my stand in for metallics, gonna go brassy.

But I haven't settled on the skeletons.

Show me your color ideas so I can get some inspiration.

I used this site,

Feel free to post whatever though.

No idea right know, I do like the purple on the undead so i might keep that. Normally I get ideas for my colour scheme either while building the miniatures, reading/taking a look at the rulebook/codex or by browsing the internet and sometimes what I painted before also factors in, for example if I had enough of painting red it will probably not be the primary colour in something new or if i have painted a colour in way i really like it will be quite possible i will use it on the next thing to paint.

I might go with Purple and some kind of bright green for Undead, no idea on the human army just yet. Maybe Grey and Red.

The purple is nice, but you see purple and undead all over the place, I'm leaning away from that.

Since I'm going bluegreen for humans I might go deep orange/brown for undead. But part of me wants to go white. Undead are always portrayed as decaying etc. and get muted tones. So what if thy were the cleanest of the bunch? Pearly whites, silver and gold, that sort of thing. Like some ancient army was sealed away in an airtight vault left to rise when the kingdom was in utter peril. Could be cool.

Or just go dark, like, real dark. A 7 on the gray scale at the highlight. Browns and blacks that make it look like there's a dark shadow on the field rather than an army of skeletons.

Even just trying to do something different there's lots of options. I'm gonna wind up with an unpainted horde of undead at this rate.

I've fooled around with the idea of ghost-like undead, sort of what you saw in Return of the King and GW's take on the unit in their game. I think I might settle on a copper with that blue rust you usually see accompany it.

Humans.....suppose I'll go with either purple/grey or some sort of earth tone spread. I haven't decided on which actual shades i'd use though.

I was thinking a realistic toned theme. So earthen rust for the undead and silver/faction color for the Daqan.

I think i will go with the studio schemes, i like those blues and purples and the look of it :) .

I've been playing in the Runewars universe for nearly half a decade. I can't imagine not painting them in the traditional faction colors.

My gripe with the ghosts in the RotK movie was that they were described as the exact opposite of Scooby Doo villains in the books. More in line with the black/brown combo I mentioned at the outset. Though I admit the look is well in line with what FFG has typically represented for specters and other incorporeal beings, so it would look pretty good in this setting. How do you feel about using glow in the dark paint?

That would be cool. I always viewed Terrinoth as more cartoony, going hyper realistic would be a nice contrast.

Fomor and Budge;

I totally get that, they are nice color schemes and look very good in the art and in the demo videos. I just always chafe at the idea of doing what is presented for me and feel a need to add my own touch.
