So I'm super pumped about going to my first system open in San Antonio. I do have a question about the hangar bay tourneys. I read the rules in the article so I understand the squad building. My question is.....are they all the same format?? Do they change it up depending on the event? Are they capped??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My experience at Worlds was that you sign up starting exactly 24hrs in advance. They'll do a waiting list too (which I signed up). I showed up on the day and after some waiting, was able to get in. They put you in a pod (8 on that day) with enough people to do a small round robin of 3 games within your pod. Otherwise you get the rest. It's regular x-wing games with the twist of your opponent knowing what two squads you have and basing their choice on that. You don't HAVE to bring 2 squads even. You can "choose" to run the one squad.

From my understanding, it's two squads with no overlapping upgrades. Makes for some interesting squad choices.
