If the model quality would be better than Y-Wings, Jumpmasters and X-Wings would get a place in that honorable mentions list as well.
That TIE Phantom *does* look pretty sweet.
While it isn't my favorite design, your question was best looking model and I have to give it to the Falcon. It's been in the game for so long and I never use it, so it's easy to forget. But it is an extremely well done model. I think the new model is even better.
For me, it would be the TIE Bomber, the IG-2000, and the U-Wing. Ships that I don't get to use often enough (because I don't play Imps often and I haven't found a use for the U-Wing).
The IG-2000 has been my favorite ship, belonging to my favorite character, since Shadows of the Empire was first released back in the late 90's. Love that ship. Wish I were better at flying it. (It's why I have two... did anyone else read the comic? Love it. They could have easily finished Boba Fett off... that's basically me every game...)

The Royal Guard Defender certainly is a beauty. So is the Royal Guard Squint. The ARCs, Ks, and StarVipers are all also pretty good looking.

I think we can safely conclude that every ship is the most beautiful to someone, except the Lancer which is total Star Trek garbage and has no place in this universe.
I frequently forget I own one as it never sees the light of day.

It would be easier to choose my least favorite.
Bloodstripe Interceptor, hands down. But if the B-wing wasn't in a soulless vertical pose, that one would be right up there too.
I started the thread with the Z-95, but I have to admit the blood stripe interceptor is a very close second.
I'm a heretic. I don't think the ARC is the best looking ship.
Rebels: Poe's T-70 (the falcons are cool)
Imps: Red defender--the interceptors are cool, too
Scum: Protectorate--(i loved the old buck rogers--sue me)---i like the jumpmaster and misthunter

Better with two striker escorts.
Even better if your Oicunn fm decimator is painted up like a monster truck and your strikers are race cars.
B-wings and they deserve an update in the movies and X-wing mini.

The A-Wing's model is beautiful. In fact I have never been an A-Wing fan until I started playing X-Wing, now it is one of my favorite ships. I find excuses to put A-Wings on my list.
The YT-2400. It's so underrated.
I appreciate that you can see in its design that it's the natural evolution from the 1300. It has a visual balance despite its asymmetrical nature.
I just wish it was a little bit better in-game.
Overall, my favorite ship in the Star Wars universe. Dash is still up there, and Eaden Vrill is underrated.

Is there a point in the Series that it engages in proper space combat? It doesnt even do anything in Empire at War except fly straight and land.... and the little bit you do see if fly in the Dark Forces that I remember doesnt really show it performing any maneuvers that any other space craft of its class or simlar cant perform.
