Is this good and does it work the way I think it does?

By Boba Rick, in X-Wing

Cassian Andor (35) U-Wing (27), Rage (1), Advanced Sensors (3), Kanan Jarrus (3), Inspiring Recruit (1), Pivot Wing (0)

Lothal Rebel (41) VCX-100 (35), Fire-Control System (2), Autoblaster Turret (2), Hera Syndulla (1), Inspiring Recruit (1)

Blue Squadron Pilot (24) B-Wing (22), Fire-Control System (2)

I think I found something that I like here. Here's my thoughts:

1) Cass can rage every turn, then do a green or white to relieve both stress.

2) If Cass does a green he is free to use Kanan to relieve someone else's stress if they do a white move range 1-2.

3) If Cass is range 1-2 of the Lothal, he can use the Lothal's Inspiring Recruit to take off an extra stress at the start of the activation phase.

4) If Cass is range 1-2 of the Lothal, he can use the Lothal's Inspiring Recruit to take off an extra stress when he uses Kanan (which is aboard the U-Wing).

5) The Lothal can do K-Turns like a defender with Hera with a decent shot of getting rid of all the stress.

6) The B-Wing adds extra beef and firepower. (Would a TLT Y-Wing be better though?)

7) FCS on both the B-Wing and Lothal and an autoblaster turret!

You might also consider two Z's as blockers.

The double recruits seem a bit redundant "

I think only the inspiring recruit on the U actually does anything really useful here because it says "when a friendly ship removes a stress..." meaning the ship removing the stress. So if Cassian with his pilot ability removes a stress from a friendly at the start of combat then his recruit removes a second from that same ship. If Kanan removes a stress on a white maneuver from Cass or another then Cassian's Recruit removes a second from that same ship.

The only place the recruit on the VCX will be effective is if you do two red moves with Hera followed by a green.

Yes it works the way you think it does.

I think it's a decent combo. It would definitely give casual players a hard time. I'm not sure if it would be competitive or not.

Definitely swapping the B-Wing for a TLT Y-Wing would be better, IMHO.

I think the Rage+Recuit combo is only really effective on a ship that can fire more than once a round. Otherwise you would be just as well off with a focus+TL. In this build you are basically spending 9 points to offset the stress from rage when you could get the same effect for 6 with PTL and advanced sensors plus you free up 2 crew slots.

I'm struggling to find a better 35 point Cass though.

FCS and Rey crew then add whatever else you need in a given list. The U gets much easier to fly if you never have to worry about actions.
