Please tell me if it's a good idea to go H9 on the Corvette instead of TRC, that was one of my main concerns. And yeah, no intel ships, I like to live a risky life.

H9s are okay with Sato... But you've got to be throwing that Red + Black + Black (+Black) and not rolling a Blank on that Red... Being able to secure that ACC is what you want, and that's okay...

I took a fleet that was similar in concept to Regionals last weekend, and it worked... (same amount of activations, but mine were both bigger and much cheaper)...

I found that Norra and the Y-Babes were a great First Strike with the Pelta... between the two of them (The Y-Babes and then the Pelta Itself), I was routinely putting 3+ Damage Cards on enemy ISDs with the first strike... Which felt really, really good.

I would worry that if your enemy decides to break their formation just a little, then they'll strain your ability to hold squadrons nearby to them, to empower Sato.

I found that I could Rock Norra and the Y-babes up to one part of the enemy fleet - but 2 Xs, 2 Zs, and a VCX were barely enough to both lock down enemy fighters and attempt to setup to other ship targets - and I had a HWK to let Norra keep the Bombing once engaged.

So I like it, overall.

But you gotta leverage. Really, really leverage.

Hmmm, yeah you confirm a bit of what I fear with the list, being that the lack of intel could bite me in the ass.

About the H9 on the corvette, what if I simply turn the 2 reds to 2 blacks and keep the blue? This way I can guarantee the accuracy.

That Depends.

Am I shooting at a Flotilla?

Because If I'm shooting at the Flotilla, awesome...

But I never want a Corvette to be at Medium Range of anything else :D

yeah, I see what you mean. In that case, I might just go TRC in case the corvettes shoot at something that isn't near any squadrons.

BTW Dras, what do you mean by bigger and cheaper activations? Big ships with no upgrades??

Fewer Upgrades, one slightly bigger ship - nothing but personal choice flavouring...

I went:

Liberty Star Cruiser

- Leading Shots

Pelta Command

- Expanded Hangar

- All Fighters Follow Me

Neb-B Support

- Salvation

GR75

- Bomber Command

- Sato

Norra

Y-Wing x 3

X-Wing x2

Z-95 x 2

HWK-290

VCX-100

So I had a Neb instead of the 'Vette, and my Liberty was much cheaper. (Even before we put where the Commander was)...

This allowed me to fit in those extra squadrons... Just so I could cover more of the board area...

That's all.

Like I said, very similar concept, and I had an okay tournament with it - but I was also seriously out of practice and the silly/stupid mistakes (and my Statistically Abysmal Dice Rolling) snapped me out of Dice Running, just.

(Last game, my last die rolls on Black Bomber dice were Blank, Blank, Single Hit, Blank), which left a tokenless Interdictor worth some 170 points on 1 Hull, ergo losing the game by some 50 points...)
