Booking vacation on Scarif. Unsure what to pack.

Swimsuit? Or radiation suit?

That SPOILERS BUT SERIOUSLY WHY WOULD YOU CLICK THIS IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW blast that took out the base seemed pretty big, I mean, you could see it from space. On the other hand you can see nuke tests from space too, and this wasn't a radioactive blast just a big conventional weapon, so I'm wondering.

What's left of Scarif? Is there a tidal wave? Earthquakes? Hurricanes? Is the destruction global or does it just seriously mess with that one continent? Do you think the imperials would clean it up before it got to be a problem, are there other bases on the planet?

Most importantly will I have to find another beach planet for my Imperial vacation, or is pitching a hammock on the other side of the rock a decent option?

I'd ask the same thing about Jedha, but we have 1, 2, 3 desert planets in the main movies right now so I'm not too broken up about it.

Well, considering the blast on Jedha sent some of the planet's crust up into the atmosphere I'm not sure what to expect on Scarif. There might be a bit of precipitation for a week or two.

But mostly, you should be fine with a swimsuit. Just remember to keep an eye out for sea hyenas.

Sunscreen.

I imagine the blast at Scarif superheated tons of water. An effect like that could scald and suffocate organisms for thousands of miles, perhaps even globally.

Yup and certain two characters were right on the beach when that wall of steam hit. Not the way I wanna go.

Furthermore, once the ocean is being evaporated the pressure on the planet's crust changes dramatically, causing earthquakes and possibly rupturing it to the core. And that's if the DS's beam stopped when it hit the water, more likely it drilled straight to the crust.

As we say in warhmmer 40k:

EXTERMINATUS!

I'd pack a surfboard. Big waves, I hear.

I just heard a story about somebody's mom who actually thought that was a sweet ending, what with them holding hands on the beach during the sunset and all.

No, seriously!

Salvage equipment, there should be plenty of parts, weapons, gear, et cetera to recover at least in orbit.

You're possibly gonna need a bigger boat

if your looking for sand & sun try tatooine, if you want to go swimming i hear mon-calamari is beautiful this time of year, o/s if you want both i hear alderaan is nice though you have to watch out for the killex and that strange new moon

Well it was all romeo and julliet and sweet- right up untill the steam hit. Probably good thing they don't show that in the movie.

This post really confused me because there's a town called Scariff about half an hour from my house.
