So playing last night I used this card. I rolled a special. I was under the impression i can choose 2 of the following including picking the same thing twice. My other friend thinks I can ONLY choose 1 thing for 2 value, while my other friend (my opponent) thinks i can choose 1 DIFFERENT choice only. Anybody have official clarification?

You have to choose two different modes.

It makes sense. If you choose the same option twice, you are choosing just 1 option, not the 2 that the card says.
