I know it's not always easy, but I've often seen people not even try.

I think the worst is when people give it a half-assed or poorly thought-out try, and then use their subsequent failure as evidence to support their claim that no one will ever want to play Epic.

1- I already own 4 epic ships and I have yet to play an epic game.

2- I really don't care about the Syck

3- I know there is going to a great crew or other upgrade card in the set, with no other way to get it... probably more than one. Likely something that will be a must take for several Scum lists.

Why is this a topic, and not a reply to the thread which discusses the new release? Explain to me why this post justifies and entirely new topic. You like the attention? You got mine. Reported, and please lock this and keep one thread for 1 new ship. Not 10.

My goal this year is to go back and play as many of the missions and campaigns as I can.

My podcast is slowly going through the missions to review. We just finished up our review of the CR-90 campaign and I recommend listening to it and making a few changes before playing it at face value. The campaign is incredibly hard for the Rebels when you play it straight forward. A few tweaks here and there really makes it more enjoyable. Also...we totally screw up the rules and find the common mistakes so you don't have to!

We have done mission 1 and 2 and I think 3 is our next one. Besides that, we have a scattering of a few other ones out there.

I would like to play epic. But much of the playing I do is game nights or tournaments at gaming stores. Playing epic just takes so long. I have started playing more with my neighbors and friends. Hopefully I will get an epic game in soon.

It is possible to play Epic on a weekly game night. You need to find your opponent ahead of time and it's a lot easier if you prep the night before. Pull out all your cards and tokens ahead of time to avoid taking too long setting up. Also, the more you play, the quicker things get. You will only get one epic game a week night in for most cases, but you still might get regular games in, too.

Playing with friends and neighbors is awesome! Take as long as you want and make it the way you want to. Just throw out a bunch of generics on the table with the epics and have fun. Don't worry about the massive combos and such. I find this is the most fun way to play X-wing. Just fly with as many generics as you can. Its very....Star Warsian.

Again, if you're not excited for the new Scum Epic ship, that's perfectly fine.

You don't have to buy it. If you feel like you're not getting mileage out of your existing Epic ships, that's perfectly fine as well.

Just please - for the love of the Force - don't create new threads to say so. There's already plenty of topics on the new ship on the forum. Why go through all the effort of creating a new one just to express disinterest?

Exactly. There are plenty of people who love and play Epic. Epic gets some official FFG love less than once per year, please don't drop year steaming pile of negativity on it.

I'm more of a collector than a player but I enjoy playing Mission H1, from the Evacuation of Hoth campaign, solo. Mission R1: Test Flight from the Raider Expansion is fun for solo play as well. I tried Mission T1 from the CR-90 campaign but it's not as much fun as the other two.

I was initially uninterested in the C-ROC as I'm really not that interested in the Scum faction (except the Houndstooth and Bossk). The design of the C-ROC is growing on me, however. Jabba and Hondo crew cards would interest me further but, if it comes packaged with a fun campaign centered around Jabba or Hondo, I'll likely buy it in a heartbeat. Ah, who am I kidding? It'll look good on display one day so I shall have it!
