As per the title, are the print-on-demand expansions for 1st edition compatible with the new 2nd edition?

The floor tiles and the raw naked plastik minis are the only part of the 1st edition that can be used for the 2nd.

Everything else, cards, markers, booklets and any POD content has no use whatsoever when you play the 2nd edition. You can still use everything for 1st edition games, of course.

Thanks! So, basically, if I never played 1st Ed., I would be missing out on the narrative content of the POD expansions? Kind of a sad thing, coming in late to the game.

Yes, if you start MoM with the 2nd edition, you'll see nothing of the 1st edition stories.

But without the app, 1st edition stories actually only consisted of an introduction text, a dozen events and texts on cards and perhaps some special rules and items. Sometimes as a player you would not even fully understand what was going on. So I don't think you're missing much. Perhaps you know someone who owns the 1st edition and is willing to play some games with you, if you are really curious.

What I liked, however, was that both 2nd edition scenarios for the Suppressed Memories/Recurring Nightmares sets are actually sequels for corresponding 1st edition scenarios. You do not have to know the originals to play, but if you do, it's a nice easter egg.

what about simply adding the Print on Demand expansion cards to the second edition app? Could be a great way to expand game possibilities for the folks who purchased them, but can barely play the first edition after experiencing the ease of 2nd edition.
