I am sad that Jabba is in the fan, as it means we are unlikely to get his cruiser as the "big" Epic. Still, looks great.

Okay so getting ready to retire my kit. I'll keep it up until this is out (and by out I mean buy it on shelf.

So couple of notes on the effects for standard play off of what has been revealed (goes without saying, this is from incomplete information).

• Scum will have a side board. So instead of taking 1 illicit why not take all the illicit. equip one illicit and you can exchange down but never up. so glitterstim to feedback array or hot shot blaster to cloaking device.
• Scyk will have a corrected card and anew light one which will make it cost as much as a TIE-Fighter/Z-95 Headhunter. Along with that all banks are green but if you get any damage cards they are face up. The face up damage is not that bad but I don't think the green banks is what it really needed. I don't see a scyk swarm coming any time soon.

• PS1 pilot is definitely unique. There is a dot next to the name.

• 5 identical cards in the 2nd row of the fan - "Arc" - appear to be cannon upgrades.

• The five modifications in the 3rd row of the fan appear to read "Pu" or "Pl"

• Is that (two) Bith next to the "Arc" cards?!

I'm only kidding of course, but Epic is seriously awesome and if you don't get to play it much, you're seriously missing out. Buy the Huge ships because they're awesome and Epic/Cinematic play is awesome too.

Cats Laughing is a folk band headlined by fantasy writer Steven Brust. They recently had a reunion gig. Awesomely, they once got a cameo in a marvel comic from (I think) the 1980s.

Did I miss something? Has FFG changed its business modus operandi to that of a non-profit company? Has Disney, Hasbro, etc. done the same? Have we progressed to a level of post scarcity economics, technological prowess that offers in home replication of the game pieces at the current level of production or quality? Have X-wing miniatures become an actual necessity of life?

The reason I ask is, unless any or all of the above has come to pass, the term "money-grabbing" borders on the moronic.

Things I'm looking at already:

Merchant One allows you to take 3 crew. Dengar, Zuckuss, 4LOM and Heavy Laser Turret for Epic Party Bus? Only use defensive actions, always get rerolls on attacks, and mitigate defense dice at the penalty of one energy next turn (from 4LOM's ion token). Thoughts?

Also, you can give it Comms Booster and make Dengaroo stress free OR eliminate Dengar's need for Manaroo. This way, he can barrel roll or Target Lock every turn and fire a bunch of Torpedoes, and then be dangerous and resilient without his usual penalties. Thoughts?

Looks like it comes with no less than ten 'money' tokens.

I guess this means Jabba - or at the very least, another crew member somewhere - will be doling out an Extra Munitions effect for illicts. Where this gets interesting is in providing reliability to a cloaking device or other random-chance-discard.

I'd kinda hope he was an anti-ace tech, though - Palp (by dint of his once-per-turn ability) favors smaller groups. Would've been fun if Jabba (by dint of a everyone-vs-one mechanic) favored having a horde flying with him...

Since this seems like the scum counterpart to the Rebel GR-75 Transport/Imperial Goznati Carrier I expect another Epic Expansion pack for Scum in the near future. One that is more comparable to the CR-90 Corvette/ Imperial Raider. There might be some heavy tractor beam tokens that can move even large ships.

I don't think they make a Plano to fit this sucka.
