Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in!
It did happen! Scum Epic!
I'm impressed so far. A price that I could work with and I really like the look. Nice that they've included dupes of the Light title and that it was Scyk and not Viper or Kzzzz included. (Of course, I don't have a single one in my collection.)
Finally accounted for the SWX58, which many of us hoped would be an Epic Scum.
Jabba, at last.
I've not done Epic but this has a lot of appeal.
Edited by Ob3ronNot sure about the mods on the 2nd row but the 5 on the third don't have a symbol so they must be mods (or possibly titles), but they don't have M3A Interceptor Only.
odd but the jabba card in the fan doesn't seem to have the unique dot next to his name, the only cards that do seem to be the title card and the one behind than, it doesn't even seem to have vizago or azmorigan in the fan spread from what I could see.
And how could they have been a scum epic with vizago and azmorigan and not include Hondo as crew.
Edited by AresxeroThe hatchet tokens suggest illicit extra munitions card of some variety.
6x tansarii with light title and crackshot or Mindlink seems at least interesting.
The Light Scyk title gives Scum a cheap option to fuel Swarm Leader.
I just did the math on Vizago and Azmorigan. If you use Azmorigan to swap for a crew worth 3 points or more, or if you use Vizago to swap for an illicit worth 1 point or more, then you can effectively build a list over 100 points.
But if you replace the previous upgrade the old one won't count towards your list total, right? Or maybe only count the first one and not the replacement? That's going to need an FAQ for tournament scoring. My guess is the first one counts towards MOV and list total. You'll end up getting over 100 points of usefulness, just not at the same time.
No Hondo, so I can only love this 99%...

I thought so as well, but I think there's a blur where a dot should be next to Jabba's name. And it looks like there might be multiple titles.

To be fair, we haven't seen the rest of the fan or the new Scyk pilots.
One of them is even PS1, which should be interesting.
PS1 Syck = 11 points with title?
PS1 Syck = 11 points with title?
I bet the PS1 is unique with some weird ability that it is useful to have PS1 for.
Looks like they fixed the base on the Scyk pic.
Tournament sheets where you list all the upgrades you'll using... do they need a sidebar section now?
The article says "your collection," so it doesn't sound like you're limited to a pre-declared assortment.
Right, but how do you now track what people use in their lists on sites like list juggler.
When you see they could have used any of 5+ cards in any given match.
Just seems like there needs to be a way for TOs to track what people brought and intended to use on each ship to avoid conflicts.
*squints*
Wait, the new pilot bases are all visible, which means their pilot skills are visible. Let's see... 7, 6, 3, and...
PS 1? As in less than the cartel marauder? What madness is this?
That's an excellent catch, I'd missed that - given that the Cartel Spacer is 14pts at PS2, that has to mean that the PS1 is at least 1pt cheaper than that. So...with the 'Light' title, you have a ship that costs just 11pts (at most), the cheapest any ship has ever been. You could field 9 of them. That's crazy!
More likely, this is a Unique Pilot who costs 14-15 points.
Hey Galaxies players! Was there any especially pathetic syck pilot who might be our mystery pilot?
Trainer NPCs had names. In space, not so much.
Starting with the Freelancer Pilot tree involves visiting one of three trainers. These trainers can be found on the planets of Naboo, Corellia, and Tatooine. Talking to a trainer will allow you to pick up the Basic Pilot skill and start down the path of being a Master Pilot.
Which trainer you initially visit determines the Freelancer squadron you join. Different squadrons have different missions to accomplish on the way to Ace, though all three squadrons require the same missions for Ace Pilot. The three squadrons, and their initial trainers, are:
Smuggler Alliance: Dravis, Mos Eisley, Tatooine (/way 3429 -4788)
RSF Squadron: Captain Dinge, Theed, Naboo (/way -5495 4575)
Corsec Squadron: Sergeant Rhea, Coronet, Corellia, (/way -273 -4731)
To initially sign up for a Freelance squadron, you must talk to the recruiter:
Gil Burtin (/way -1174 -3674) Bestine, Tatooine
To Master the Freelancer Pilot tree players that trained with the Smuggler Alliance squadron will have to talk to the Rebel Master Trainer, players that trained with the RSF squadron will have to talk to the Imperial Master Trainer and players that trained with the Corsec squadron will have a choice of talking to either of the two master trainers.

The point is there.

Hondo is worth far more than 1%. You break poor old Hondo's heart.
Not viper

The only Relevent crew spoiled seems EXCEPTIONALLY troll and hilarious for use in games
Unless he allows your stim large base take cloaking device im which case woe is us
Hopefully the restriction holds in his case too
Oh dear god, Vizago's going to be fantastic with the cloaking device unless they FAQ this.
1) Take cloak action.
2) At the start of the End phase, replace the Cloaking Device with a Feedback Array.
3) At the end of the round, you have no Cloaking Device card to discard when you roll an eyeball.
You'd never roll the eyeball if you swapped out the card. I'm pretty sure that only the HWK and the G1-A can pull this off as you need a small ship with a crew and illicit slot. With all of the awesome Scum crew available, it seems like a fair trade.
This would let you cloak a ship and then switch the illicit out for another Illicit if you just plan on leaving the ship cloaked the whole game.

I just started a new thread on his topic to get it out of the mess in this one.

Yeah, that PS 1 pilot is going to be about 18 points. Probably an elite pilot with a skill that works at a low pilot skill level. Quite possibly a tanky pilot that adds hull points. Which would make the light title a little bit more of a hindrance and a reason for the face up cards...

My guess is since discarding an upgrade doesn't change your squad value, this won't either. If your squad's at 99 points, you're 99 points no matter what you swap in.

I don't think you did your math right...
I just misread the card. I thought you were replacing Vizago or Azmorigan, not the other upgrade.
Well, I'll definitely be picking one of these bad boys up. Both the C-ROC and it's Scyk escort look gorgeous, can't wait to find out more about it. The Light Scyk title is interesting, but will it suffer from the "2 dice vs tank" worry floating around at the moment?

Why? If you are allowed to swap in any illicit with the same cost or less, why would you need to track anything?
I was really hoping they were going to kind of let Epic ships fade into nothingness. At least its just the M-3 ship and not the Starviper so I don;t have to feel compelled to even pay attention to it.
Competitive Epic can be just as fun if not more fun than the standard game. There is a great battle between to Gonzanti builds from OutRyder Cup V this last weekend that is worth a watch.
