It did happen! Scum Epic!

So I guess I'm really slow on the uptake. I was just reading Azmorigan's card again and realized that I hadn't been reading it very carefully. Unlike Vizago, don't discard Azmorigan to use his effect. That means you can use him repeatedly at the cost of a single energy! Of the released team upgrades, Ordnance Upgrades is the most expensive at 5 points, but the other three are each 4 points! That means that as long as you don't have an ordnance-heavy squad, you have free reign to change between any of the team upgrades as the current situation dictates.

Cargo isn't as easy to swap around because of the varying point costs, but there are so many more of them to choose from! I'm incredibly excited for Azmorigan.

Yup! Just takes an energy. Keep in mind that for teams, if you start with an Ordnance team and switch off, you can never go back. (Since OT will be more expensive than whatever your current team is.)

Same with Cargo. Lots of cargo options weigh in around 4 points, so good options if you start there.

Sorry if this has been pointed out already, but Zuckuss would have no drawback on this ship. Anyone think that might indicate incoming errata?

Cards like Zuckuss, Bossk and 4-Lom (in the case of a huge ship configured with ordnance) are all cards that have the potential of being extremely powerful in epic. They lead me to believe in one of these scenarios:

1) Epic play card restrictions (like what they have in the epic tournament rules)

2) That the next "high offense" Scum ship (the mirror of the Raider or corvette) may have a limited amount of firepower or Arc. That or a limit on how they can focus fire all of their ordnance at the same target.

Zuckuss (crew) is still just a single, unique crew on a single ship. Plus, this ship is larger, less maneuverable, and has fewer shields than a VCX, meaning it shouldn't be difficult to gun it down. Bossk (crew) basically acts like Fire Control System because you don't keep the stress tokens or the focus token. I have a hard time feeling like that's overpowered. 4-LOM (crew) actually has a slight downside since it drains your energy to use him, so again, he's powerful but not overly so. I think we need to see how this does in the wild before crying "Nerf."

Bossk is actually a WORSE fire control system because he only triggers if miss. $-LOM still has the downside of less energy, whch you generally want even if you are using ordnance. Zuckuss is good, but not broken on the croc. We'll see what happens if we get a full gunship in the future. Even then it's an absurdly high point value ship that can die pretty quick.

Zuckass and Single Turbo Laser sounds hysterical. I wouldn't say it was broken, but it would make a high Agility ship re-roll a lot of dice.

Think Zuckuss, 4-lom and homing missile:

- 4 attack dice with reroll

- homing missile prevents the evade token

- 4-lom prevents the focus token

- zuckuss forces the reroll of any good dice.

All for 2 squad points for the crew and 1 point of energy (a single turbo laser would have required 2). I would take both crew on my Raider in a heartbeat if I could :P

You can already do that. And on bossk, where you can also split a crit if you get one into 2 hits. Could even k4 and scavenger crane (after the quadjumper) to do it more than once.

You missed the hilarity...

Tubolaser doubles the agility... so fire one at an A-Wing... 6 Green dice. Barring any other surprises jumping things in (oooh, a stealth device makes it 8!) the gun fires... A-wing rolls say, 4 evades on those 6 dice... Zuckuss makes a re-roll of those 4. Now that one A-Wing has rolled TEN dice for one attack...

Fire the next turbolaser at him.

heychadwick wasn't posting a broken powerhouse, he was posting about the insanity of green dice.

any idea when this will be released?

Following the trend of other epic cruisers - limited release at GenCon in August, with additional hitting stores about two months later.

EDIT: Whoops - No, this is not correct - see below

Edited by LagJanson

That is a bit longer than what is likely to happen. I am guessing May.

any idea when this will be released?

From the article:

"The C-ROC Cruiser Expansion Pack is scheduled to arrive at retailers late in the first quarter of 2017!"

I would like that, I really, really would... but I have a few nagging doubts for some reason ;)

 I forgot that bit...

Dang, that's a fast announcement to release time on this ship. I wasn't complaining when I posted GenCon... Just was considering the Raider and Gozanti releases.

Considering how wave 10 was supposed to be "before Rogue One is out" and they only got a rush in of Uwing and Striker to just barely meet the requirements I am sure the Mouse put them up to (only because it was the synergy of their movie and the ships from their movie, not blaming the Mouse for anything else)....

I wish it was Q1 2017. I'll save up and buy it on its release date in September.

Given the fact that SWX58 was skipped or held for quite some time after later numbers were announced, and the Syck "fix" being in an FAQ pre-Worlds, I'd wager the C-ROC was either delayed in playtesting or development possibly because it has cards related to Rebels (Az was in the first half of S3, for instance) so it was known by FFG it would exist, what the model would be and it just needed some fine tuning or a license double-check before being released, so it seems like it's a pretty speedy jump from announcement to initial "should arrive" time.

Yeah, since its SWX58, which was passed up awhile ago, it sounds like they have been kicking this one around for awhile already.

Miniatures Market is saying March for their pre sale page... but we know that does not mean the thing will actually be off the-dam-boat before August!

"HERE I COME!!!"

I'm hoping before Q1 2018. Actually, GenCon would be really cool as I'll actually be there for the first time. Still, I've got Xmas money slated for this and it will burn a big hole in my wallet if I have to wait that long.

"late in the first quarter of 2017" meaning technically Q2. Probably have these mid-late may.

... so there are 6 'light scyk" title cards in the box and only one 'heavy scyk' with the text correction... too bad. FFG could have used the opportunity to give us 6 new heavy titles as well ...

...ot they could have pri the Scyl titles as dual sided cards, Heavy on one side, Light on the other...

wouldve been cool, but might be necessary given six light scyks in this thing and a heavy scyk in both expansions
