I used to play Talisman back in the 80s and loved it. I no longer have my original game set, but I am thinking of buying the new version.

Problem is, I don't know anybody in my area who plays it, and with kids and a job, finding the time to travel to and play at game shops is not feasible. So, until my kids are old enough to learn the game (my wife is not interested), I have nobody to play against.

I was thinking that it might be possible to play online against some of the players on this board using an instant messaging program, maybe with a webcam. If two people have the same board and cards, couldn't Player 1 draw the cards, then tell Player 2 what card is drawn so that Player 2 can make the necessary adjustment to his board. There would always be the risk of Player 1 cheating, of course, but I don't really see what the fun in cheating would be since there is nothing really at stake. A way around this might be to use a webcam.

Has anybody tried this? Any thoughts on whether this would be feasible?

Since I haven't purchased any of the games, it's hard for me to tell how this would work if some people had expansions and others didn't. I suppose as long as the person with the master board has only the basic board there would never be any compatability issues, as opposed to a situation where the master board has some expansions but the other players don't have the expansions. Is that right?

I would like to play online too as opponents are hard to come by when you work perm nights...

If anybody comes up with an idea I would love to know...we have a PS3 here with a camera which may be an idea similar to the card game they recently done...!?!

I got a copy of this for xmas im luck at the moment im at uin and play with a group of frends im shour i could tark into play online if anyone would like to play with a group.

It would be nice to have a online computer game from talisman revised with all updated expansions, so that you can play against real opponents.

i wonder if someone can make something like that..
