Secondary Firing Clarification

By Surge4tw, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I have a Y-wing with a TLT firing at a regular plain Tie fighter at range 3, thru two asteroids.

How many Dice does the Y-Wing roll on Attack?

How many Dice does the Tie fighter roll on Defense?

Thanks in advanced!

An attack is either obstructed or not. It is a toggle, not an incremental effect.

Secondary weapon have no range modification on attack or defense dies...

You would roll 4 dice.

Because of the TLT, you don't apply range bonuses as these only apply to primary weapons and the TLT is a secondary weapon.

"Obstructed" is a binary condition, either the shot is obstructed, adding one dice, or it's not. It doesn't matter how many "obstructions" are between the Y-Wing and the TIE.

The Y-Wing (Unless its Kavil w/ an outside of arc shot) would roll 3 dice for its attack, while the TIE Fighter would roll 4 (3 base + 1 for obstruction(s))

The Y-Wing (Unless its Kavil w/ an outside of arc shot) would roll 3 dice for its attack, while the TIE Fighter would roll 4 (3 base + 1 for obstruction(s))

Kavil Firing this same exact shot, behind himself would be 4 dice? Just to clarify

also Thank you :)

Yes.

Yes.

Thank you!

Yes.

Thank you!

I had a case once where Kavil was firing outside of his arc with TLT at Countdown, who was behind a rock. So 3 base for TLT + 1 for Kavil versus 2 base for the Striker +1 for Obstruction + 1 for Lightweight Frame... I didn't get a single damage in.

...ouch

My friend had 5 dice on my Han Solo this weekend, and I had 0 green to throw after he droped it down to 0. didn't get a single hit and that was after using a target lock to.
