Anti Squadron Bomber

By tunewalker, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So i have been toying with a list idea and I was hoping for some thoughts and maybe some suggestions from people here. Its a standard 400 point list and the basic general idea is as much "anti squadron" fire on everything, capital ships fighters, support craft anti fighter everywhere, but with the twist being that every fighter is also a bomber. These are some of the list ideas of I have come up with so far.

Faction: Rebel Alliance

Points: 400

Commander: Sato

Objectives (have not figured out which objectives I like could use help here)

ASFIIA (81 points)

- Skilled First officer (1 Points)

- Point Defense Reroute (5 Points)

- ECM (7 Points)

- Gallent Haven (8 Points)

Neb B Escort (57 Points)

- Yavaris (5 Points)

GR-75 Combat Refit (24 Points)

-Toryn Farr (7 points)

- Jamming Field (2 points)

- Point Defense Reroute (5 points)

- Bright Hope (2 points)

GR-75 Transport (18 points)

- Commander Sato (32 points)

- Bomber Command Center (8 points)

- Boosted Comms (4 Points)

Squads

Luke (20 Points)

Biggs (19 Points)

Wedge (19 Points)

Ten Numb (19 Points)

Rouge X-wing (14 points)

X-wing Squad (13 Points)

2 E-wing Squads (30 points)

In every list the squads stay the same, there is a lot of anti-squad fire power here and they all have bomber so once the fighters are dealt with I can go straight onto the ships If I can get Luke and Rouge through damage starts up instantly :).

In the Above List I think about swapping out jamming field for comms net but swapping which ship has the Bomber Command Center. Same Number of points, Other thought is to make it dodonna and see what other upgrades I can or swap in for 12 points.

Faction: Rebel Alliance

Points: 399

Commander: Dodonna

Objectives: same as above

Neb-B Escort (57 Points)

-Yavaris (5 points)

Neb-B Escort (57 Points)

-Ahsoka Tano (2 points)

-Projection Experts (6 points)

-Redemption (8 Points)

Neb-B Escort (57 Points)

-Toryn Farr (7 Points)

-Turbo Reroute (7 Points)

-Salvation (7 Points)

GR- 75 Transport (18 points)

-General Dodonna (20 Points)

-Bomber Command Center (8 Points)

- Boosted Comms (4 Points)

- Bright Hope (2 Points)

And the same squads

List above I think about changing commander to Sato but not sure which points to drop/ add in to allow for it to work. I like the idea of 3 Neb Escort + Spinal + Sato with squads, but not sure how to make it work, probably trying to much with that idea.

Finally

Faction: Rebel Alliance

Points: 400

Commander: Sato
Objectives: Second verse same as the first

MC80 Assault Cruiser (114 Points)

-Fighter Coordination Team

-ECM(7 points)

-Reinforced Blast Doors (5 points)

-H9 Turbo Lasers (8 points)

GR-75 Combat Refit (24 Points)

- Toryn Farr (7 Points)

-Repair Crews (4 points)

- Point Defense Reroute (5 Points)

- Bright Hope (2 Points)

GR-75 Combat Refit (24 Points)

-Bomber Command Center (8 Points)

GR-75 Medium Transport (18 points)

- Commander Sato (32 Points)

- Leia Organa (3 Points)

- Comms Net (2 points)

Squads Also the same

This list I am not sure how I would change, for those wondering why the combat Refits, as mention above I want lots and lots of anti squad and the combat refits fit that mold even making Point Defense Reroutes good when they get in the middle of a bunch of fighters. So thoughts? Concerns? suggestions for objectives? is this Fantasy of Anti squad on squads AND ships a bit out there? thank you for all your time and thoughts on getting this idea off the ground.

I don't think Sato is good for your fleets. He can swap red dice for black dice but only 2 of your ships have decent volleys (the combat transport isn't that much of a threat). You have no other benefits like Ordnance experts on the AFII or APTs on a MC30 or Salvation. I think Rieekan would be a better bet for list 1 and probably list 3.

Thanks, Honestly dont like Rieekan personally because he just delays what I feel is the inevitable, however I can semi see the appeal. If not Sato I am thinking Dodonna or maybe even Madine as Dodonna allows me to pick crits when things like Luke and Rouge squad ignore shields could be huge, and Madine would obviously allow better maneuvering. But thank you for that thought it does help tremendously.

I play Rieekan a lot an d I know what you mean. If things are going well you feel you are getting no benefit from him. But if the game starts to turn he can be good.

Dodonna is my second favourite for his effect but mainly because of his low cost.
