Hey, I'm a long time RPG fan, but I haven't played FFG Star Wars yet. I just got FnD. I'm jazzed to play. It's a bit mroe complex than I think my wife and our friend would like for rules (I usually GM OSR games for them). So I'm wondering if there's anyone who's running an FnD forum-based campaign? I'm on Tavern Keeper, RPG.net, Giant in the Playground and more.
Anyone doing an FnD play by post?
I'm in the process of putting together a "round-robin GM" open campaign involving a mix of high level (1500-2000 xp) "signature" characters, and starting level characters (every player playing one of each) set during the TFA time frame.
From another thread:
The dedicated PBP forum "Gamers Plane" has pretty regular FFG Star Wars game openings, it's a very popular system there.
I'm currently running one there in fact, tho it's full at the moment.
Thanks for both replies. They are helpful
I'm interested in a pbp game as well.
See, It's not just me! I didn't start this thread and someone else used the acronym FnD!
I'm up to play just find a gm and you got a game right here.
Hey Shard, I encourage you to make an account on Gamers Plane http://gamersplane.com(or any dedicated PBP forum) and just be active on that forum (in their non-game threads for example) until you find a game. It will happen sooner than later if you just become a part of that community. I would even encourage you to apply to my game (the Living Force) because while it is full now, PBP by its nature has a relatively high turn-over rate, and even if I don't lose a player I'm actually considering adding another player because one of my current players isn't particularly active, and I will be making that decision by next Friday (basically if this player doesn't increase his posting frequency I'm gonna add a player). That player could be you if you get in line now, I have no one else waiting but will be recruiting from that community if I decide I can facilitate it.
Edited by emsquaredI do a lot of stupid manual work, where I get many opportunities for quick posting. I will certainly sign up their.
Questions, what's the post rate? I have a game I'm technically in, but I'm losing interest already because the post rate to set up characters is already so slow, at the current rate it'll take over a week to get through a blaster fight.
Second do you use EU/legends... I'm not really into the cartoon or reboot books, rogue one is good and in my opinion gets recommend in, but not even force awakens makes the cut... Where do you stand?
What's the current story like? What kind of characters in the group?
TheShard is the username, I just registered.
