I 've been running RPG games for L5R for 5 years and we are currently playing with the third generation PCs

We use the canonic story with slight differences. The major one is that the players got to create the Raven clan linked to Ryoshun just after the Destroyer War. They have incorporated the Yobanjin and use huge ravens to travel the Empire. None of the players got to play in that clan but it still has a role in Rokugan. It's more like a good backstory we kept.

This arc of the campaign the player started being helpful to the clans and the Emerald Champion and it was decided that they would become the first Saphir Magistrate. They are tasked with dealing with bandits and border dispute among other things.

This has led to several, fun and diplomatic problems, with the more renown and installed Emerald magistrate. They currently have several yorikis, a token army and a Kyuden that is in the mountains north of the scorpion lands.

That was a few scenarios ago, we played (they saw things indirectly ) the end of Iweko 1 and the schism that appeared between the two brothers and the twenty festival that followed. Since then things have gone downhill in the Empire.

I m following the Winter Court 5 storyline and we are currently 1202 and the players are trying to keep things together.

I wanted them to become attached to Shibatsu and so they have. I want them to go look for the Preserver Blood that Shibatsu has stashed somewhere but i m running out of ideas so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
