Jedi Luke Sculpt

By 455 PWR, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

So how many noticed the jedi knight luke sculpt is way off? In ROTJ, He wore black pants, boots, and a tight black shirt tucked in with a simple belt. The mini for IA is wearing some sort of untucked robe, and looks nothing like what he wore in the art, movie, story, EU, etc. The first luke mini they made looked great... like the movie, actor, etc.

FFG, please give us an accurate ROTJ sculpt! Something similar to the old metal knight models 30mm luke would be great!

I might have helped if they didnt used the more popular Black Suit-only of the final battle in ALL OF THEIR ART DEPICTION

I sort of expect the art to match the miniature.

Tell that to Agent Blaise :P

ZING!

Didn't he wear the tunic through the majority of the movie?

Rebel Command briefing and while with Vader were the only times he didn't have it.

FFG is a very green company. They recycle everything, art work, dice, game mechanics, entire games.....

Yet with all the plastic they sell they are not carbon neutral. I doubt all that cardboard they sell is recycled.

I haven't seen the mini first hand yet, as I am suffering at the hands of Miniature Market always using the slowest truck in the world to deliver stuff, but I would have preferred the tunic.

You want that lean Luke look, not another husky heavy-robed Jedi. Wondering whether to buy a second copy and try to mod it.

This is Boba Fett on the cover of TS all over again.. :D

My only real complaint with the miniature it that it seems a little short too short, though it may just be me. And while I would have preferred him without the tunic I think it looks okay, so no complaints from me on that matter.

Except that Blaise isnt a popular character existing in popular culture.

Black suit Luke kind of is iconic.

who?

Luke dressed in his black suit.

Everyone think of THAT when they think of Luke Skywalker in Jedi

As per Leia, his model should be shorter than the stromtrooper's.

Seeing this is the Jabba expansion, his model should represent the costume worn during that part of the movie. Of course, FFG could have held off his model until Endor for the tunic.

My main complaint is his lightsaber. The handle is much too long and thick, and it may be an illusion, but the blade looks much shorter than others.

From the comments and lack of pictures above, I'm guessing none of the posters have The figure. I'm not so bothered about the clothes, but had also noticed how big the lightsaber handle seems to be. Hopefully someone will post some pics with the actual figure next to other saber wielders for us to look at.

Great pics, thanks! They definitely help. It looks like the "too thick, too long" handle assessment is correct. Compared to the other figures and movie pictures, it is oversized. I think the part between the hands and the blade is about twice as big and thick as it should be. However, the blade length, figure size, etc. all look fine.

You sir have lost all your Nerd priviliges by not knowing your Star Wars well enough. This is embarrising to say the least. Hand in your Nerd badge and toylightsaber, come back when you have more knowledge of the force or seen the movies again...

This is the Jabba's Palace expansion wave. He's wearing what he wore at Jabba's, even though no one really remembers anything more than his nice simple black outfit (that they used on the packaging and card art...)

I think he is okay, though to me he looks a little too short, mostly compared to the older luke we have. Other than that I think he is fine.

Shame they did not go with this outfit, the contrast would have looked better:

I must admit, I thought there might be some needless bitching going on here, but I finally received my new wave last night and... wow. This is a terrible sculpt. He has a stupidly long lightsaber handle, a stupidly short lightsaber blade (moreso even than Davith), a weird choice of outfit, and essentially no facial features. This is a shame.

As far as the light saber handles goes, this video shows the official prop. Looks pretty much the same to me:
