Interesting tidbit - Old Teroch, and Kad Solus in the RPG

By Athena Games, in X-Wing

So my best buddy purchased a late Christmas gift to me in the form of 'Friends Like These' the latest adventure book for FFG's Star Wars RPG system. It's an adventure book that focuses a lot on the Mandalorian system, to the point that Mandalorian is now a species option in the RPG.

Anyway, I was surprised while looking through the book to find the origin of Kad Solus, and Old Teroch. Both are NPC characters that you interact with, they seem to be Rebellion sympathetic Mandalorians who assist the player characters.

Just thought it was an interesting bit of information.

Neato!

Mandalorians are cool

What whisky does Old Teroch drink? That's what I really want to know.

Old Teroch's not the name of the whiskey?

Mandalorians before the TCW butcher retcon were proactively against the Empire. Both during the clones integrating into Mandalorian culture and the old Leia's boyfriend was a Mandalorian fighting Imperials kind of thing.

They are sort-of-but-not-exactly against the empire in rebels - Concord Dawn is a lot closer to the classic mandalorians than the clone wars vision of Mandalore itself, and is not actively fighting the Empire but doing its best not to attract more trouble than it can handle.

I was surprised while looking through the book to find the origin of Kad Solus, and Old Teroch.

Didn't register the names, but not surprised - FFG has used the odd reference to its RPGs; Kaa'To Leeachos, for example, is from Under A Black Sun, and is a black sun bounty hunter who gets a hit put out on him after stealing from his bosses (hence, I guess, his ability....)
