Some people think PtL and EU makes him better because of his repositioning options. In my opinion PtL makes Corran worse because it makes him dependent on repositioning; Engine Upgrade is not optional. PtL also hampers an otherwise good dial.

I fly Corran with Lone Wolf and Sensor Jammer because he is more well-rounded. He is free to use his entire dial because he isn't stressed all the time, and not dependent on repositining because he can survive some jousting. It is difficult; it takes planning and patience. Taking Sensor Jammer also influences the opponent's action decisions unless they have another source of focus. This is a form of control, especially with options like Wes or Hotshot Copilot.

I also don't hate the idea of the other ships being two Y wings with TLTs to go with Miranda.

The Corran/Miranda list is nice, but I currently think Poe is the better pairing.

You don't get the double tap, but you have native boost with AT and an extra Hull. With PA and PTL, you will not be stressed as much so you aren't tied to greens as often. And with R2, it's not horrible if you lose/spend the focus. Poe's single round damage potential isn't as high, but he is more consistent and harder to kill.

TLT is nice yes,. but you get on avg what like 2hits best? So defenders normally evade, fenn rau also with his AT especially.

Bombs and TLTs deal with both of those quite well. Yes they don't spike a ton of damage through, but it still forces token spending through volume. Ion bombs are also great for both of those. Control is key in those matchups and Ion also means x/7 doesnt go into effect for that round making TLTs even more potent. I do not have any battle reports unfortunately though. I

After playing this list multiple times, I agree with everything stated here. However, Sensor Jammer is just waste against Dengaroo...zuckuss has got to be changed. Giving Corran FCS instead gives him some action economy without PTL. Additionally, I will be changing the Shield Upgrade to Stealth Device, which will open up Flechette Torps as well. As jmswoods previously stated, stressing an already stress Ryad or Manaroo is awesome.

This is a fine idea, but having two sets of Homing Missiles against defenders is stupid good. They have to focus Miranda first, which lets me do whatever I want with Corran while Miranda still threatens to drop Ion Bombs and shoot 5 dice Homing Missiles. I honestly think Miranda is perfect as she is built right now.

Actually TLT is a decent way to deal with high agility ships. They are rarely going to completely avoid the shot. Obviously you aren't going to get a one hit kill, but 3 naked TLT's on a Defender is 3-4 damage, add a couple focus or re-rolls or just great natural rolls and you can possibly burn one down i one turn of focused fire.

I run a Deathfire, Vess, Ryad list regularly and ussually do well with it. Recently found that TLT and a Tie swarm can be very difficult for my list. A friend likes a list with Miranda, Esege, and a Y all with TLT and not much else. He smoked me 100-0. I almost had Miranda dead, and I made a pilot mistake that cost me a lot, but still even with perfect flying and if I had knocked out Miranda when I planned to I still think it would have been really close.

Don't think Corran without PTL and Engine will be that great. There a lot situations when you want Boost or BR or both. And tokens.

Test it, but i think the standard Corran is superior to your one.

Another thing, this list is hard to fly. Also consider how you will handle something like 3x Z with Concussion missiles and GC with Cheewbacka, Dengaroo, new Scum Asajj, Manaroo, Fen, Trip Defenders.

Also again, theres stressbot comming back, i start to see stress mechanic more and more, so corran will struggle vs it too.

So to answer your questions about "how will you handle....", first let me say this build needs the most patient play ever. The first 30 minutes of each map can be only about positioning. For any swarms, TLT and bombs are great. I can stay away from most shot from other players with Advance Slam and Corran's 5 strait moves, until I want to engage. Dengaroo is always a beast. That being stated, getting one Conner Net onto a Dengar can completely change the entire match. Or being able to kill Manaroo with Homing Missiles and a double tap from Corran. The scum builds are the most interesting to me, but TLT and double tap can wreck a Fenn pretty quickly. And this list is built to beat Palp Defenders or Trip Defenders. TLT negates the consistent defense and bombs/Homing Missiles makes defenders k turns pretty useless, which are the two reasons they are tough to beat. Defenders is actually my best match-up.

I was going to suggest the Stealth Device over Shield Upgrade. 4 green dice plus focus or evade seems pretty sturdy.

I'm really intrigued to hear about any/all of your games with this list. I ran a (PtL)Corran/Miranda list a couple times last night to middling success (from a learning perspective). I did find myself PtLing a ton, thus was constantly stressed and dial-limited. Also, the Engine Upgrade was mostly used trying to get away from large base ships, which didn't help a whole lot. What do you think about Expertise in place of the Flechette Torps and Lone Wolf? Corran wouldn't have to maintain range from Miranda and you could use your action for BR or evade as the situation dictates?

I'm also really interested in flying PS9 Poe list from above with Miranda. In my build for that, I added Seismic Torps to Miranda and also gained a 1-point initiative bid. I think that might be more survivable against the likes of Dengar (who I faced + Boba Fett), plus you might shrug some TLs off Miranda.

I think Expertise is not as good as Lone Wolf due to Lone Wolf being both offensive and defensive. With Miranda dropping bombs as well, it is often nice to want to keep Corran away. That being said, on multiple occasions, other pilots have guessed that I would try my best to always keep Corran away from Miranda to proc the Lone Wolf, which I have been able to punish each time. I don't like the PTL Corran. I really need to be able to use his whole dial, all the time.

So initiative is not something I am worried about in the least. If they have PS8-PS10 with initiative, I get to fly Miranda first and drop bombs in front of them. If they have anything lower, I get to maneuver Miranda into better positions using Advanced Slam and drop the bombs literally on their heads. Plus, I get to position Corran last which is a huge advantage.

As for Poe, he has always been my favorite pilot. My issue with him is how dependent he is on his focus token. Token stripping is a huge thing right now due to Defenders being so prevalent. Removing the focus token from Poe and then stressing him, makes his life very difficult.

Let us know how your test goes. As right now im looking at new rebel list to bringh to local store championships too. There a lot Asajj, Manaropo, Fenn, right now. Imperials with Double defenders, Party bus/Manaroo. So struggling with Rebels. Could bring Dengaroo, but would like Rebels. Also was considering getting 3 defenders (would be only imp ships).

VI Wes is a great answer to most of these. Like Fozzyman was saying about token stripping right now, and Wes was the OG when it came to stripping tokens and stressing guys. Wes, VI, R3-A2, and IA comes in at a nice 32 points, cheap enough to put together a good list around him. Acts as a pseudo-Biggs against those lists as well, since none of them appreciate him being around.

Nothing quite as nice as pulling a TL from Fenn and him having to use his focus on defense, and now he gets stressed. Then tries a 5 dice shot with no mods on something at range 1. Or shooting at a defender knowing that 9 times out of 10, they are going to be left without any more tokens (and stress to boot) and the rest of your list can punish them. Kills Expertise, kills PtL, kills a lot of strategies out there these days.

I do like the idea of Torps on Corran, since he'll usually have a target lock on something, but I loathe having to spend that target lock to fire it off and not have it for rerolls. I'd love to hear how it goes, either way!

I played a Miranda/Poe list yesterday with a buddy (2 defenders and an interceptor). The only thing I learned from that is I can put together a list but can't fly it to save my life. In one turn I put Miranda on a rock and Ionized Poe with my own bomb. /facepalm

I agree with you as far as initiative goes. Miranda with bombs and TLT doesn't care when she moves. I think it's also better to be prepared to fly on both sides of the initiative battle since you never know if somebody is going to do something crazy on the initiative bid.

I think the Kanan and Biggs lists are pretty strong right now and not as difficult to fly as Miranda and Corran.

I read about a list using Rey+Recon Specialist+Engine Upgrade on the Ghost to stack lots of focus for neutering peoples attacks or modding your own 2 attacks per turn. The EU is to keep people out of the range one TLT donut hole on the sides.

I've seen a list where Biggs gets R2-D2 and a version where he gets M9-G8 which might be interesting.

I've tried a version before Heroes of the Resistance came out and was surprised how brutal it can be.

I think that Sabine's Tie will open some interesting options when it comes out as Ahsoka will be able to give a friendly ship a free action at the start of the Combat phase. Take Kanan with Rec Spec, EU and Lando/Jyn. Kanan double Focuses for his action. Then at the start of the combat phase Ahsoka can spend a Focus token to either let him Boost out of an arc or trigger Lando/Jyn with no Stress penalty.

Downside is that I normally run Kanan with Biggs and docked shuttle and I cannot decide which one to drop to fit in Ahsoka. Logically dropping the shuttle would make more sense but then Kanan is only making a single attack. Indecision rules.

Maybe I should keep the shuttle but save points by downgrading Biggs to Rex as he is almost as good at attracting firepower.

Hey! I'm also going to the Bozeman regionals. I am also trying a similar list! So far I have been practicing with Miranda, Poe, and a bandit squadron. So far Poe is definately the weakest link I think. He draws to much hate and doesnt accomplish much before he is taken out. However, I might try trading out Poe and the Bandit for new old Chewy as follows.
