I am a die hard Rebel player. I know Scum and Imperials are certainly in better overall position to compete and win in tournaments, but I am still going to fly a Rebel list at the Regional in Bozeman, MT on the 21st of January. I need some feedback on the list I am planning to run. Currently, I have flown the following list the most:

Corran

- Veteran Instincts

- R2-D2

- Fire Control System

Wes Janson

- Veteran Instincts

- R3-A2

- Integrated Astromech

Biggs Darklighter

- R4-D6

- Integrated Astromech

I have kept track of my stats with this list. With this list at my local store and against players online using Tabletop Simulator, my winning percentage against Palp Aces/Defenders is about 60-65% and my winning percentage against Dengaroo is about 50%. Against most other list i.e, rebel regen, Miranda bombers, swarms, mind link stuff, I win at around 65-70%. Additionally, I have yet to be shut out of points completely in any match.

All of that being stated, I think Miranda might be the best ace for Rebels right now. Poe also seems super competitive on paper with the Pattern Analyzer coming into the meta. I also have seen some really solid 60 point Rey builds with Expertise that hit like a f***ing truck.

It should be stated that I am incredibly comfortable flying all rebel ships save the 5 A-wing builds that were popular a bit ago. I will not fly a 5 ship list with so little time to practice it.

So I am asking for as much feedback as possible before the 21st. I have two local tournament nights before the Regional and a good amount of time to fly online and against a friend I have around. All list ideas are very welcome, as are comments on the list above and other lists to be yet determined.

Odd that you bring up the Miranda+Long Range Scanners. I flew her today against a friend and she was able to take out an entire Jumpmaster by herself before dying. I like that build a lot.

What was the ending Norra build that Fickle came up with? I know it had title, R2-D2, and tail gunner.

PtL is all your missing. PtL, Tail Gunner, R2-D2, Title. I don't remember if there was a mod or not, VTs maybe. Without VT, and for ultimate end game domination, you could swap Gunner with 3P0. With PtL to give Focus and TL, you almost can't be beat 1v1. 3P0 to guarantee 1 evade, ability to add focus result and give 2 evades, green move to clear stress and regen shield. Your opponent has to consistently put through more than 3 damage per turn to overcome that. It's nasty.

I like the Miranda version better now that ive tried it as well though

All you do to fit her in is drop vectored thrusters on Braylen and her missiles are much better against defenders IMO.

Again, I really recomend the Corran + Miranda list if you can master it:

Corran: Ptl, FCS, R2-D2, Engine (48)

Miranda: TLT, Extra Munitions, Homing Missiles, Ion Bombs, Conner Nets, Sabine, Adv. Slam (52)

This list is definitely the best against defenders if you're playing Rebels. The Dengaroo match isnt the greatest, but it's still as winnable as all the other rebel lists you're considering. It does take more practice than all the others mentioned, but you hardly lose any Margin of Victory points with this squad when it's flown well, so that should help in a tournament scene.

Right on. I think that is probably the best list as well. I think Corran is still super squishy, even with R2-D2. I love that Miranda build. I think the 40 point or 52 point Miranda build will definitely be one of my ships.

I would also really like to run Poe, but I don't think he has enough fire power in comparison to Corran. However, here is a build I was thinking about:

- Black One

- Pattern Analyzer

- Autothrusters

It even leaves space for some torpedoes if ran with the 52 point Miranda

I have been running this list with success for a while. I can get away with TLT and without AT on Poe because my local play group hates turrets, but probably would add AT for Regionals and rethink Horton.

Regarding the original list: Any list with Biggs in it is at least 25% dull. My greatest desire as a Rebel player is for FFG to errata his ability into something that isn't a crutch.

Regarding Corran/Miranda: I hate both the E-wing and K-wing. The E-wing was drawn by a pre-teen with a fallace obsession. In game terms it is the worst-priced small base ship. The K-wing is a SciFi mixed skillet and evokes no feelings of a Galaxy Far Far Away. From a game perspective, I grudgingly admit it is the best $20 a Rebel player can spend. I started experimenting with this after Worlds. I figured, I never play with these. I will give them a chance. I am 6-1 with the list below. It is challenging, personally stressful and thrilling to fly. The one loss was against Double VCX and its wins include Palp Aces and Defenders. I need a Dengaroo matchup to really measure it.

But yeah, if i had to pick Id say miranda is THE cornerstone to any competitive rebel list nowadays. Shes just so flexible!

I'll concede the point between Y-wings and E-wings based on the shape of the Y's forward section. I was refering to the stupid gun on top of the E-wing; totally ruins the aesthetic.

My version of Corran takes even more patience to fly than the PtL configuration flown by Kevin L. at Worlds. Maintaining the separation necessary for Lone Wolf is key, and this often comes at the expense of focus fire.

Flechette Torpedo played a major role in half my wins; either double stressing a target that did a red maneuver, or stressing a target ionized by Miranda.

There is also a strategic reason for a torpedo on Corran instead of Advanced SLAM on Miranda. Having both ships at 50 points eliminates an MoV advantage to kill one before the other. This limits the opponent's target priority to decidinng which ship is the bigger threat. (Tough call in most matchups.) Miranda's agility is the weak link in this list.

I like this new take on Corran jmswood. I think I will definitely use a Corran and Miranda set up. I might still switch the Advanced Slam, but I will keep you posted. I really like Long Range Scanners a bit more than Guidance Chips, but I am yet to be sold either way. Thanks for the ideas!

I too typically prefer LRS, but to this Miranda build not so much. Only advantage will be a fully modded missile in the first shot. Once she starts trying to drop bombs she won't be able to TL. I personally would want to TL at rng 1-2 through out the match so you could line up a fully modded PWT at range1 with her ability for a 4 dice shot after dropping a bomb on something. Just food for thought!

When I made my list I didn't have LRS. I just bought ImpVets, so I'll have to give LRS a try. Guidance Chips is proven; letting me keep the lock to Homing Missile again. In one game I wasted Countess Ryad with Homing Missiles on consecutive rounds.

while it cannot compete with c3po for defense, it allows you to fire off stronger TLTs and homing missiles without the need for LRS (which is pretty huge against dengaroo and his irritating countermeasures); allowing g-chips for a near guaranteed 5 hits

got room for r4-d6 Biggs and r3-a2 tactician thane, which makes for some nasty concetrated fire actually

So after some play testing with the exact list that jmswoods posted for Corran/Miranda, I have some ideas. Corran is really good in that build, but the torpedoes are just not worth the points in exchange for what you can do with Advanced Slam on Miranda. Bombs mess up Dengaroo like nothing else I have seen. Sensor Jammer against Dengaroo is virtually useless, and it is incredibly hit or miss (mostly miss) against Mind Link builds. That being said, it is great against all other Rebel lists and really strong against Palp builds, so I am really thinking about keeping it. I am going to be play testing the following list

Depending on how the Corran plays against the Dengaroo again, I may try to change Lone Wolf to PTL. The token economy and re-positioning gained from PTL is tough to beat.

Inspiring Recruit is largely optional and is largely in case you run into an opposing Stresshog/mule or R4-D6 kicks in a lot.

Karhedron, after playing two game today, I am overly set on the big ace Miranda build. It's incredible consistent damage, really great control with the bombs and nets, and adding the Advanced Slam makes it super easy to go in and out of combat while regenerating a shield at range three with TLT. Additionally, it's fun as hell to fly. So the next part is figuring out what to do with the other 50ish points. Honestly, Nora as the second and possibly only other pilot is very enticing to me.

I also don't hate the idea of the other ships being two Y wings with TLTs to go with Miranda.

Miranda is too good to change. In dropping Guidance Chips for Advanced Slam, I lose a bit of fire power. To compensate, I gave Corran back FCS. The change to FCS and Shield Upgrade from Sensor Jammer and Stealth Device is also a result of playing against Dengaroo. Expecting to completely evade an initial Plasma Torpedo volley from Dengar who has focuses from Manaroo and that f*** of an OP crew Zuckuss, is folly. Being able to regen back to a 4th shield seems the better choice.

Thoughts?

Don't think Corran without PTL and Engine will be that great. There a lot situations when you want Boost or BR or both. And tokens.

Test it, but i think the standard Corran is superior to your one.

Another thing, this list is hard to fly. Also consider how you will handle something like 3x Z with Concussion missiles and GC with Cheewbacka, Dengaroo, new Scum Asajj, Manaroo, Fen, Trip Defenders.

Also again, theres stressbot comming back, i start to see stress mechanic more and more, so corran will struggle vs it too.
