First Tournament Build

Looking for any advice. I am envisioning the two squadrons and the Raider working together as fighter screen, but maybe dropping the raider for squads would be more flexible.

You'll be in trouble with AA. No matter how much you pimp the Instigator, my experience tells that the enemy fighters are usually not where you want them and an AA Raider is not as effective as a bunch of Interceptors. Therefor I would throw QLT away and I would consider dropping the Aggressor as well, bring Cirena Ree and/or Saber Squadron + TIE/Ins instead.

Yeah, I was given the similar counsel about the Instigator by a friend before the FFG Regional. Instead of the Instigator and the two squads listed, I ran:

1 Darth Vader ( 21 points)

1 Maarek Steele ( 21 points)
1 Colonel Jendon ( 20 points)
2 TIE Defender Squadrons ( 32 points)

I was able to use Jendon's relay to engage squadrons or hit ships with Vader and Steele, and then double tap Vader or Steele using Jendon's ability. As a novice, my principal issue was piloting my ships into effective positions. While I improved each round, I still lost all three of my matches. In the end though, it was fun and I learned a lot.

I think your squadron suggestions might work betteras an AA screen than what I ended up using so I may run those in the future.
