"Yet another newbie" thread.

Hey people, been reading through various places and have kinda decided on my first Imperial fleet build, and hoped to run it by some people.
So here it goes:

ISD II, with Mottie, Gunnery team, SW7 ions, XX9 turbolasers

VSD II, with Needa, Gunnery Teams, Spinal armaments, and Warlord

GSD I, with Tua, Ordnance Experts, Rapid Reload and Insidious

Then Maarek Stele, 1 extra defender, and 2 Tie fighter squadrons.


Was torn between the two Tie's or just using a third defender, and figured for the same points cost there was an extra hull spread over two squads.

Now I need to figure out which packs I'll need to buy for the cards... Now I need to print out some of the cards (such as spinal armaments) that would require a hole new box set... (250 GBP opposed to 120 GBP, core set inclusive)

I have a few questions here:
- Why do you want SW7s? You can roll a maximum of 4 blue accsand that's pretty unlikely. Therefor you would rarely use that ability. Leading shots costs one point less and if you have an unspent blue accuracy you can use it to reroll blank reds.

- Why are you adding Tua to the GSD and not using then any defensive Retro on it? Also why Insidious. It is very difficult to get behind a Rebel ship to use this ability, unless you use Hyperspace Assault (and then your opponent would be stupid to choose that objective).

- You have only 2 points to bet. Insidious + Rapid Reload costs 4 points less than Demolisher + Assault Proton Torpedos and the latter is a much more versatile (and deadly) combo. If you get rid of Tua, you can squeeze that combo in.
