Wave 5 Sato first try

I am almost squad drunk with ideas for this wave, but I also wanted to try out the different admirals so here is my first entry into the "beat up the idea till it's tough" trough:

Reasons it's built like it is:
1.) I have never successfully flown an MC80 liberty, so I need the practice
2.) I have flown Salvation once and want to use it more
3.) Sato, obviously
Positive feedback would be appreciated.

Those squads are very likely to by taken out in one round of coordinated alpha strike and AA fire, turning your Admiral into a 32 pt paperweight

Okay, so...suggestions? Would two x wings instead of the yt be an improvement?

I would recommend dropping Blount and the YT and getting 2 A-wings and another Z-95. That will make exactly 400 points. It will give you options for closing a fighter on a ship and allow you to tie up enemy fighters for a few turns.

If you pull Boosted Comms off of the Sato GR-75, you can upgrade an A-wing to Tycho. (you do not want Sato's GR-75 anywhere near combat)

yeah, I thought of adding a VCX somehow to get the relay instead of boosted, but I feel like that's an expensive squad for just Relay 1. I had Tycho in there before Blount, so I was on that wavelength already. Ill look at that again and see how it plays out. Thanks for the suggestions.

I think a wings and especially tycho will really shine with sato. With their speed, you can hide them and prevent them from getting alpha'd, and then send them out to paint your target when you need to

Yeah, after looking at it again in Fleetbuilder, the A wings are a much better squad for Sato. I think Ill make room for Toryn as well, since that counter re-roll is a killer.
