Arrived at my FLGS at lunchtime today to find the U-Wings had just been delivered so picked one up, yay!
What have people been flying them with?
The idea of the U-Wing flanked by 2 or 3 B-Wings appeals as in my head that will look sweet but ideas are welcome!

A single u-wing isn't going to push the needle that much. A single b-wing at range 3 isn't scary in the slightest.

If you want ideas for a single U-Wing, I recently did a build-a-squad on my channel using Cassian Andor. List worked out pretty well. Basically I went all-in with the stress removal, and had other ships in my list that took advantage of that stress removal. Cards like Rage, for example.

It is 4 generic arced ships. Thats not something you can do a lot of lately. As someone who adored XXBB when I got into the game this is rather tempting, although I definitly won't get the funds for this list together. Its no where near as finessed a list, but it is the next best thing we have. The WAAC argument is stupid here, nothing about the list seems any more unfair then Palpaces, Dengaroo and whatever is flavour of the month next. I don't really believe in the list, yet, truth be told, but we will see if someone with a larger hobby budget can make them work in the upcoming larger tournaments.

hell, you can push off of a pattern analyzed red manuever to double stress yourself
and still not give even a fraction of a ****
(long as cassian is range 1-2 of the ship)
and don't forget you have crackshot like my dumb ass constantly does

For me though it has to be thematic.
Four U wings feels as 'wierd' as four shuttles in a dogfight to me. its a transport/lander/gunship so i'd want to fly it with a fighter escort.
A couple of B wings seems quite cool and wont be racing off ahead of it.

That's precisely why I chose those words. I didn't say it wasn't fun. If you enjoy it then more power to you. I just hope that if you are playing 4 U-Wings, that it's because you enjoy it.

I'm going to try an escort of:
Gemma Sojan with test pilot, snap shot, prockets and stealth device.
Jake Farrel with test pilot, PTL, wired, prockets and stealth device.
I'm sure I'm spending too many points on those a wings, but hopefully it'll be fun to fly :-)
I've had good results with 3B's w/FCS and a U Pathfinder with FCS, Title and Operations Specialist. It doesn't look like much, and you need tosetupkill boxes in advance, but it can really batter folks down.

U-Wing blocks to set up fat targets for Corran and can also pass him extra focuses to improve his shooting. A-Wing can take one strong opening shot and then also block and peck away.

Cassian fires first, strips focus token, fires again with FCS Gunner, strips maybe second focus (**** mindlink lists). Then Rey is free to take her shot at a focus-less, and hopefully evade-less enemy. She has many many ways to stress herself at proc Ezra via Expert Handling (which helps keep her arc on enemy as well as ditch a TL), Sloop title, kturns, landing on debris, and even dampners. At the beginning of every activation phase, Cassian removes her stress so she can sloop,kturn, b-roll, every round.
List has been working good and has been really fun the couple games I have gotten with it. Needs a little fine tuning, but as is, its a decent list.
