Running the Falcon

First, I want to preface this by saying I've got a history with running the Millennium Falcon in games. Like others I came to Armada from X-wing. I've got a good friend I play board games with and he's made the jump from X-wing to Armada with me. He usually plays the Empire and I use the Rebels. When we played X-wing, I used the Falcon sparingly but to great effect (it's not hard to do in X-wing, the dumb thing naturally breaks all the rules). The last time I used it was during cinematic play to get the Tantive IV across the board to victory.

I've never lost the Falcon. And now it's to the point where it's become my friend's main goal when we play to destroy it.

So that brings me to my question here: how has the Falcon ran for you in Armada?

And before we go off into a competitive thought train, know that I realize it's not the best option for the points. This is just a friendly game. We change up our builds every time we play and usually don't run the toughest fleets unless we're gearing up for a tournament.

So yeah, tell me how the Falcon has performed for you? Feel free to get long winded with it. Let me know the role on your fleet you wanted it to play and if things changed in the game (likely) how did it perform from during the change?

Honestly, I rarely put the Falcon in lists due to the costs... but when I do I almost never regret it. it's great for tying up a group of squadrons or finishing something off (a near-death ship or squadron) right at the top of the turn. I need to get him back on the board, cause he is pretty solid!

Millenium Falcon can doubletap so easy.

in the ship phase, activate a ship with a squadron command and adar talon. toggle the falcon slider.

in the squadron phase, play your other squadrons first. keep Milnemium Falcon closeby.

activate during the squadron phase last.

at the start of the next turn, activate it first.

3 activations in one turn (from ship face to the start of the next turn before anyone acts).

Just wondering if it's as good on the board as it seems on paper (I personally plan to use the Ghost and accompanying A-wings for this. Both thematic and effective)

Ditto; I always want to put him in - with Adar and Yavaris he is awesome. Now with relay maybe even more so...but 26pts...I almost never pick him :(
