Point of No Return - CC

By Jamborinio, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Is there one do you think?

If one player wins the first three battles in a two player campaign - so that's both the unoccupied planet battles of turn one, and the first special assault of turn two - would that be a point of no return?

We're thinking we might do the final battle of turn two and if the Imperials win that one as well, we'll either even it up and continue, or start over and swap sides.

Not sure how friendly the campaign is if one side gets ahead early.

Edit: should've been posted in the regular forum.

If the Rebels are losing ships by the end of the Battle Phase of Campaign Turn 2, it may be worth losing 2 Campaign Points to bring in 2 new fleets.

At this point, if the Imperials win the second battle of turn 2, the score will be 1-6 points for the Empire and 0 for the Rebels. Giving up 2 more points won't lose the campaign, but it may allow the Rebels to come back into the fight with fresh ships. Unfortunately, if the score going into Turn 3 is 8 Empire, 0 Rebels; in a 2-player campaign, the Rebels cannot afford to lose any more battles.
