Anyone ever use 501st training in their campaign?

I've been trying to add some variation to my agenda decks and never really go after the quest specific rewards (outside of Imperial Industry which I am trying to avoid now).

Curious what other agenda related rewards people recommend.

I havent used it, but I could see it being extremely useful with a Military Might/ Trooper heavy setup. Those 2 extra pts of movement could really help clear up things during attacks when your troopers start making things too crowded to even reach the heroes when they're holed up in a tight spot.

Yep it's one of my fav card when I play Military Might. Troopers are a nightmare to Rebels once you got some xps in (esp. with Assault Armor + Combat Veteran)

Are you going to shoot that elite Stormtrooper?

Yeah = well it's got 7HP, auto +1 block, may reroll def

No = all 3 will focus themselves, with a high % that I'll shoot ~7dmg next time (BGG, ~+2dmg, and auto +1dmg)

Also if you use it wisely the attached troopers (kind of) will always have +2 speed

old: move 3, shoot, move 1

new: move 3, shoot, move 3

especially with Heavies so they're no longer dwarves

Haven't tried with eJets yet but I imagine it'll just make Rebels run away: 9HP, potentially shoot with BBGG, can move 4 -> shoot -> move 4

Our Imperial player is using it with Military Might. He uses it on his heavy stormtroopers to give them more mobility or to allow them to brickwall us with the healing ability (which he can use when he's stunned from sustained fire) which was so annoying on elite heavy stormtroopers with Asssault Armors last mission. It's a good card, and your Rebels are unlikely to waste one of their side missions to try to stop you from getting it.

Hrmm I am running Armored Onslaught in my campaign so it might not be AS effective but still useful. I like to use the Heavies with their built in accuracy and the default AO card to attack with red red, being able to move them more would open up a lot more shots. Also, so many missions you default with the SnowTroopers, 2 more movement points on the elites who can move through terrain would give them incredible mobility.

But is it a bit of a waste of 3 agenda compared to other cards if the attached troopers aren't as powerful or staying alive as long as they would with MM. Its 1.5 deplete cards worth of agenda which can be quite powerful for any setting, particularly deploying the tank that pairs well with AO. Tough decisions.

I agree with the using it on Heavies. The attack-move somewhat makes up for their lack of mobility, and the healing can actually help because they have enough HP to maybe survive some attacks. But heavies aren't always a great pick; if the rebels just outrun them they won't help you much.

And if you put it on Elite heavies... the focus really ups their damage a lot. They're a lot more likely to get the un-cancelled surge they need for their +2 damage or Blast 2.

501st training is probably best used on elite snowtroopers; means they have an attack action, can move and can then heal each other and once they're focused, they're scary effective.
