Edited by strikenowhereif your link doesnt end in .jpg or .gif - the forum doesn't think you're embedding. All you're doing is linking a Webpage.
Keep diving into the imgur until you get an actual photo link, and then it usually works. No Guarantee.
But Photobucket and Facebook work fine.
I got the vid link working in the off-topic post
Edited by DrasnightaWhats the weird smaller ship in the foreground at 1:05?
Top-Left Corner: Probably a Braha'Tok Gunship, this time, seen from the Front.
Edited by DrasnightaSqeee
Yep, Dorenean gunship (Braha'tok) is in a few shots. Oh hey, the Rebs got themselves a proper Nebulon Frigate and an MC80.... oh hey, the Imperials got themselves tie frigging defenders! You know, I'm pretty happy that we're seeing the death troopers show up. That was sure quick!
I'm pretty impressed just with the production of the trailer. It's good, it's very good.
Can somebody plz cancel this awful show???
I finally manage to watch a couple of episodes, got to S03E03 when "Green Squadron" A-wings prove to be just as worthless as Phoenix Squadron.
Further reinforcing the fact that ONLY the Ghost crew can do anything right.
I know it's a cartoon...but even the Clone Wars had a grim, gritty and realistic approach by comparison.
And to think they try to link this with Rogue One? Preposterous.

Yessir right away sir, consider it cancelled

Saw it too, there are 2 of them. Anyone got a screen cap at 1:05?

I'm looking forward to some cap ship brawling, giraffe ISD's and slow-motion 5 yard missed blaster shots and all.
Whatever you think about Disney, at least content's coming. That in turn sparks more interest in the franchise, and more money for the merch'. Good times guys, good times:
I'm just waiting for Rebels to canonize the Raider and MC30 ![]()
The show does definitely get better as it progresses. I'm constantly impressed with the new iterations of the show.
My foremost question is why TIE/Ds are not at the Death Star. We see one flying... it could be the ace prototype TIE X7 that is defeated by the end of the episode... but this shows that the Empire can produce them. Why didn't they shred red and gold squadrons at Yavin?
The Braha'tok has had increasing appearances in recent media. It's never the center of the shot, but we've also seen it in Rogue One with part of the Rebel fleet. I'm wondering how Armada will give it to us... an armed flotilla? The Rebels have so many small ships already I wonder what it could do without stepping on some of the other ships.
an MC80 Home One type cruiser is spotted in the Rebel fleet. We can't know if it's Home One itself, but that also asks questions of why it isn't at Scarif with Raddus' fleet. It might be because it's the strongest capital ship in the fleet and cannot be committed to that battle? I would think the 80 is superior to the 75, yet...
The Big Three of the Rebellion are present: now we have General Dodonna joining us, and Mon Mothma hits the Rebels screen for the first time. Bail Organa is also back. So, now it looks like the Rebellion is upgrading from insurgent cells to a full-blown military. We also see Saw Gererra, looking more man than machine and BFFs with Rex. Presumably this season or next we'll see why Saw needs a respirator and clanks around his base on Jedha on mechanical feet. Is Jyn part of the group, or was she already kicked out?
At least one other Interdictor has been built, since we see it in the Imperial Armada (of Five Star Destroyers). Freeze-frame also shows Ezra trying to destroy it with a lightsaber. Freeze-framing also reveals Yularen is back, running with a group of stormtroopers somewhere. Death Troopers also join the fight, going somewhere with Thrawn, and there's a new kind of trooper with a backback (Air trooper? Space trooper?) he has a new helmet at least. We also have some kind of melee combat bot beating up Chopper. Why is chopper shooting at AP-5?
The soundtrack is very catchy as well. All in all there's enough to rivet my attention on Rebels again, and feel more thrilled than previous seasons. When I think of starting at the beginning of the show again, nothing in the past few seasons matches up with the questions being raised in the next one. I'm eager for saturday!
The space battles look very good.
I also recognise the 'why no Defenders at Endor' question... it's a tough cookie, but also 'why no Ezra Sabine et al' at Hoth, or Yavin, or anywhere in the OT? It's the same question Rogue One had over its characters.
Depends on how many there are... And being Thrawns baby, they could have all gone with the 7th Fleet... Wherever the 7th Fleet was when Yavin was happening.

Again I feel that I have to reiterate that th writers of Rebels are the biggest Star Wars nerds on the planet and they know more about the mythology (remember it's not real) than anyone here on the forums. I've been following Star Wars since the summer of 77 and I still watch interviews of David Filoni to learn more about the Mythology because he puts this nerd to shame with his knowledge.
Edited by BeattyYeah we are starting to see the continuity break apart. Funny get me wrong I'm excited. But things aren't quite lining up. There is a continuity error in lost stars. The rogue one VG stated that the Profundity was one of the first Mon Cals retro fitted which is why it was ready for Scariff. But here we don't see it and we see an mc80 instead. Makes little sense that we don't see any arqs or gt75 at Scariff
"one of the" does not mean "The only".
Besides, we don't know if the one depicted here needs Re-retro-fitting, which is why it wasn't ready ![]()

Also I imagine the MC80 in the trailer is spaceworthy, just not necessarily ready for battle.

We saw plenty of GR-75's at Scariff... I think about 4? The most memorable one being the one plastered against Devastator's bow. That ramming didn't do any damage to the ISD.
Re: Home One, "It was on another mission" is always the fallback. Or midichlorians somehow.

My bad I meant gozanti! Don't type while in a meeting!
I would have much preferred the MC-75. That would have made a lot more sense but whatever...
I'm really excited and frustrated at the same time by Rebels.
I know its a kid show, but so was Clone Wars and a LOT of people died in that show. In every movie a LOT of named characters died. In fact there isnt a Star Wars movie where a mass of people didnt.
The problem with Rebels is that when your main characters have plot armor as thick as these then you need plenty of side and background characters to kill off. That isnt about making it edgy or appealing to a Game of Thrones demographic, its about keeping the spirit of Star Wars and the stakes were always high. To make the stakes high you need an antagonist to match. To have an impressive antagonist in a war series they need to kill a lot of people.

EndorYavin' question... it's a tough cookie, but also 'why no Ezra Sabine et al' at Hoth, or Yavin, or anywhere in the OT? It's the same question Rogue One had over its characters.
According to Legends there were a few Defenders at Endor; Onyx squadron under the command of Rexler Brath. I think this was the only squadron of TIE/Ds present. Yavin however is a different story.
Thing is regarding Ezra, Sabine... there's only one of each of them. We can presume these Rebel Hereos are elsewhere in the galaxy on various missions for the Rebellion. They are different from an entire series of mass-production starfighters.
No, what I'm questioning is why Vader's elite squadron of TIE pilots aren't flying the most advanced starfighter in the universe. As it is, we should be wondering why they didn't have TIE Interceptors on the Death Star, since we know those were produced in enough numbers for some squadrons to be equipped. And one would think that for the most expensive single unit in the entire Imperial Navy, the Death Star should have the most advanced starfighter protection!
Instead, Black Squadron is flying the same TIE/LNs we see effortlessly blown away every time Star Wars is playing. Why, when Vader can have access to every other fighter in the Imperial inventory at the time. Thanks to Rebels, we know the TIE Defender was one such craft, and they were able to manufacture (and maintain!) at least one fighter. It makes sense if Vader wants to fly a craft he's personalized and familiar with, but why didn't he order Interceptors or TIE/Ds for his personal squadron?
I do enjoy how there's seemingly no regards given to the difference between there not being an answer, and simply not knowing the answer as of yet ![]()
I for one, am content to wait and see.
