There is no awesome List that you can bring and win most of the time like the old Whisper lists and YT-1300 lists in X-Wing's heyday. You have to learn how each ship feels with its different upgrades and ships will play differently in different player's hands.

But since most people don't agree with you you have been becoming more toxic which invites more criticism which makes you more mad. There's a cycle here and you know what is moving it.

It would help if you made cogent arguments, to be fair. Evidence, level-headed examples, actual data, high level insights from someone who is obviously skilled at the thing we're discussing. Any of those would help us take you more seriously.

We're a battle-hardened and jaded forum community at this point. I'm not the only person tired of something like this happening on a weekly basis: a troll shows up who is not that experienced at the game, makes an inflammatory post about how Armada is fatally flawed in some way, and then proceeds to just pick fights with everyone and refuses to meaningfully engage with people who raise legitimate questions back in good faith. Usually the troll just keeps repeating the same nonsense as when they first posted with no further evidence to back up their claim beyond the fact that they feel a certain way (protip: nobody cares how you feel when it has no grounding in provable reality). When you make measured and thoughtful discussion impossible, mockery and counter-trolling become inevitable. God bless the fine people who continued trying and failing to meaningfully engage with you rather than just counter-trolling but I just do not have the patience for it.

Anyways, both of my current experimental Regionals list has a ISD-II and MC80. I will be releasing some articles in the next couple of days to talk about exactly this.

Maybe you simply have had poor foresight when it comes to fleet construction? Half the strategy of this game is coming up with effective fleet builds and if you can't pull that off it might be a contributing factor to why you are having such a negative time playing the game. Sometimes your builds compliment well with your opponent and sometimes they don't and if you don't have the tactical skills to make up the difference then there's really not much to be done other than expirment and practice. Pretty much every strategy game ever is like this.

Just to be clear I play with Ben down here in Austin and San Antonio on multiple occasions. I consider him a fellow Armada brother as he has put a lot of time and commitment building an Armada community over in Austin and it has been a blessing to finally see the fruits of his labor start to pay off. He has started to develop a core of competent and capable players. I look forward to seeing them play at our regional event. I don't think players get competent by Ben taking it easy on them. He is a standup guy and enjoys the tactical/strategic elements this game offers. He has become a blessing to know and call friend. One of the highlights of my time in Texas is getting to know him. I can tell you with 100% certainty if there is any case of doubt that blade wind is just bitter that Ben had proved both superior at playing Armada, and at developing a good gaming community. I see blade wings statements made out of envy and bitterness. So I ask him to just stop as it is classless and just makes it look like you are someone in need of serious help.

Blade Wind though, I don't know if that was an intentional typo or not, but I like it.

As an individual who ONCE raged at the state of Armada (We went like a year with no new product announcements), I can say the game is doing extremely well right now! We are building a growing community here in Orlando, FL, and it is slowly growing, more and more. Tournaments went from having 3-4 people show up, to having 5-8 people, and that is just awesome! It's not going to be as popular as X-Wing - and the price-point has a lot to do with that - but when it goes on sale people begin to flock in to it.

The game is amazing and I'm really sorry to anyone who feels it is dying or hurting. Come to Orlando lets do a 1000 point game and just bask in the glow of this gorgeous tabletop experience!

Let's just overlook how Xwing has many flaws sure like turrets.

I saw this thread and, had to read it. I'm new to Armada with just a scant few simple "starter" games under my belt to feel it out. I think it is awesome. And, I am an X-Wing player. I love the capital ships and the strategies; very different and it should be. I'm not knowledgeable of the meta and what effects or issues it has.....but I'm excited about this game!
